Шины на Ford Bronco I (Форд)
The Ford Bronco is a line of SUVs of the North American brand. It was produced from 1966 to 1996, then the production of the model was discontinued and resumed only in 2021.Creation History
The car owes its appearance to the commercial success of compact, by American standards, SUVs Jeep CJ-5 and Toyota Land Cruiser. The Ford version had a frame platform that had no analogues in the brand's model range, which is due to the need to make the car smaller in size. To reduce costs, all modifications had a four-wheel drive system, a Dana transmission, a number of mechanical components from other Ford SUVs and pickups. The power unit was borrowed from the passenger car Falcon - an in-line gasoline "six" with a power of 105 horsepower, improved due to other valve pushers, an oil pan with an increased volume of up to 6 liters, a more powerful fuel pump and a carburetor that can operate at significant angles of inclination of the SUV. Along with the body, in which flat panels predominated, this was due to the concept of a car that was planned to be made as simple, economical and reliable as possible.By the mid-1970s, this concept began to undergo significant changes. Already starting from the second generation, the car moved to the class of full-size SUVs, significantly increasing in size and becoming more powerful, receiving a chassis and mechanical components from the F-series pickup. However, due to the fuel crisis of the early 80s, the manufacturer had to revise the car's design again. It became much lighter, mainly due to the use of a frame assembled from stamped parts with a large number of holes. The engine range has been changed and starts with an in-line "six" with a volume of 4.9 liters. Nevertheless, V8s were preserved, but in a modernized version, acquiring electronic fuel injection control by the mid-80s. And by the end of the same decade, the car finally turned into the eighth-generation F-150 pickup, differing from it mainly in body type. In 1996, the SUV was discontinued due to poor sales, receiving a more larger and practical Expedition as a successor.
Modern Version
After a quarter of a century, the American manufacturer decided to revive the model. This is largely due to the popularity of the predecessor, which already in the mid-2000s not only became a classic car but also became a cult object in North America. It is for this reason that the exterior of the successor has many elements from the SUV produced in the 1960s and 70s. Designed as a competitor to the Jeep Wrangler, it is offered in 2- and 4-door versions. At the same time, the doors do not have frames and with the glass lowered can be easily removed, for their transportation and storage, the manufacturer has provided special cases. In technical terms, the SUV differs in its relationship to the "charged" Ranger pickup, representing a frame car with independent front suspension on double A-shaped levers and a non-separable rear axle and 5-link suspension at the rear. In addition, the standard equipment includes Dana axles, electronically controlled differentials, a multi-mode transmission, and a four-wheel drive system. In combination with a ground clearance of 295 mm, short overhangs, this provides the car with quite non-trivial capabilities off-road. The only thing you can complain about is the engines. The "base" one is an in-line gasoline "four" of the EcoBoost family, with a volume of 2.3 liters and a power of 300 horsepower. An alternative to it is a 6-cylinder turbocharged V6 with a volume of 2.7 liters, developing 330 horsepower. Both power units are combined with a 7- or 10-speed automatic transmission. At the same time, the 7-speed transmission has a reduced first gear, which can only be used at low speed. The technical connection with the Ranger pickup on the one hand makes it easier to choose tires and wheels, and on the other hand, it significantly complicates it. Nevertheless, in the assortment offered by the online store "Mosavtoshina", such products are presented quite widely.Advantages of selecting tires for the Ford Bronco on our website:
