The Nissan Z coupe belongs to the seventh generation of sports cars that have been released by the Japanese brand since 1966. The model is a successor to the 370Z and has been in production since spring 2022.

Interior

The car's interior design was developed with the participation of Tsugio Matsuda, a Nismo and Super GT championship driver. A customizable 12.3-inch display with touch control is used as the instrument panel, three analog sensors showing boost pressure, turbocharger speed, and battery voltage, are located at an angle towards the driver. Additionally, sports "buckets" similar to those in the GT-R are already available in the standard package, which can be adjusted in 8 directions for the driver and 4 for the passenger.

Technical Features

Information about this model was first announced in 2018 from a publication in the Australian automotive publication WhichCar. At that time, the management of the Japanese brand stated that it would become the successor to the very popular 370Z sports coupe. However, it was decided to abandon the indexed name of the car, from which only the letter Z remained. In the fall of 2020, the manufacturer presented the Z Proto concept, which, as it turned out, did not differ much from the production version.

It was shown in August 2021. The car retained the concept of its predecessor, but its design was executed in a retro style and contained a number of elements borrowed from the 240Z, the legendary Firelady, which was produced from 1970 to 1973. However, in technical terms, the coupe retained its connection with the 370Z. It was created on the same platform, which predetermined not only the layout but also the use of a number of components. According to the manufacturer, one of the factors behind this decision was the desire to minimize the cost of the car, which was not supposed to become too expensive. In the base version, the coupe is equipped with an in-line six-cylinder petrol engine with a volume of 3 liters and two turbochargers, thanks to which the power was brought to 400 horsepower, and the torque - to 475 Nm. Despite the strict requirements of current environmental standards, the engine retained its "signature" character, demonstrating maximum performance at 5600 rpm and being able to rev up to 6800 rpm. In the standard package, it works in pair with a 6-speed manual transmission, to which a carbon fiber driveshaft and an EXEDY clutch are attached. As an alternative, a 9-speed "automatic" developed by Mercedes-Benz is offered, produced under license by the Japanese Jatco. It is supplemented by a system that synchronizes engine and transmission speeds when switching to a lower gear, as well as aluminum paddle shifters.

The coupe's chassis is fully aluminum. At the front, double wishbones with an increased angle of inclination are used, which increases directional stability, especially at high speed. The strut between the front struts under the hood gives the body additional stiffness, enhancing this effect. The rear multi-link suspension is distinguished by the use of monotube shock absorbers of increased diameter, which increase the stability of the rear-wheel drive car when cornering. The standard tires for the coupe are Yokohama Advan, flagship models that, among other things, are present in the assortment of the "Mosavtoshina" online store.
