    Nissan Townstar debuted in the production lineup of the Japanese brand in the fall of 2021. The car is a virtually exact copy of the passenger "van" Renault Kangoo of the third generation.

    Design Features

    The Japanese brand previously had experience "cloning" Kangoo of the two previous generations, which was applied to this model. It differs in minor changes in the front part, where different lighting, bumper, radiator grille, as well as a hood are used, where there is no recess for the diamond-shaped logo of the French brand. The interior is fully identical to the "original" except for the steering wheel, where a badge with the emblem of the Japanese brand is present, but already in its current version.     Technical Differences

    Like the French version, the car is offered in both passenger and cargo versions, the latter differing in the absence of windows behind the middle post. It can accommodate up to 3.9 "cubes" and can carry up to 800 kg at a time. The passenger version offers a classic salon layout with two seats in the front and a 3-seat sofa in the back with a 2-sectional backrest that folds in a 60/40 ratio. Unlike the French "van", its Japanese counterpart has Isofix mounts only on the outer seats. The trunk can accommodate up to 775 liters of luggage. Another feature was the reduced engine range, which lacks the "basic" Kangoo gasoline engine, along with all diesel power units. The car is equipped with a 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, developing 130 horsepower. It is combined with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed robotic gearbox.
