Excellent winter tires!

I already wrote a review a week after purchase (right after I had a chance to change into them), and I'll repeat myself - the silence, comfort, handling on dry roads, and speed are top-notch (I didn't feel any difference from my new Turanza 003 when driving aggressively). I bought them with the intention of driving in Moscow, the Moscow Region, and further afield (if needed, I have chains, so I don't worry about traction in extreme situations), and considering

I’ve run the last Yokohama Ice Guard IG20 for 5 winters and it has been perfectly fine. I‘m on my 3rd winter with this one and it is head and shoulders above the Yokohama. I was not expecting that big of a difference. 4 stars for ice only when compared to studded tires. I think this will be the favourite among other studs. 4 stars for durability: the tire does not forgive the bounced/oversteer =).

The winter season started off nicely with temperatures ranging from -7 to +6 degrees. Didn't feel any difference from summer. That's all the precipitation we got - rain and snow with rain, but no ice, just cool.

On dry asphalt and in the rain it's good. There's a grip on ice - the car moves. Slightly humming.

Normal snow traction and no ice braking expected. Studless snow tire for clean roads and fresh snow. Bought it for ice and sub-20 C cold. The tire is quiet, but stiffer than the stock, will last longer. The sipes are cut like all Euro tires up to 4mm.

I was really pleased with this model, at the price to quality ratio. Our winter turned out to be probably the most snow-free that I've ever experienced, so I only got to drive it a couple of times in snow and ice. But on dry roads, it handled better than the summer Bridgestone Turanza T001 I'm familiar with. In the snow, when entering a corner at speed, its behavior was predictable and clear, and on ice in general it was the same. I

Normal tyres, predictable, better than Gislaved NF100.
As the laws of physics still apply, everything is fine with adequate driving.
Slipped on ice a couple of times all winter.

A great tire for the Krasnodar winter.
