Good day! These are my first studded tires. I bought the car in 2018 and drove two winter sets on it. Both were Goodyear Arctic Ice 2 (or so they were called), and both were fascist (production). I doubt I'll ever go back to studded tires again. These tires seem to be even quieter than summer tires. The comfort is extraordinary. Everything related to dry or wet asphalt - the handling is no different from summer. It doesn't skid or drift anywhere. There's no roll. The car behaves very predictably.
For New Year's, we drove to Grandfather Frost's in Vologda, to Kirillov. We left Moscow on December 30, and after Yaroslavl (halfway), we got into a snowstorm. The blizzard was like in a fairy tale, Metelitsa, only with strong winds.
We had to stop four times to clear the snow and ice from the sensors, because the cruise control was turning off, and it's adaptive, and on a 600 km highway, it's a very necessary thing, a super helper. Additionally, the front parking sensors were beeping.
The visibility on the highway, where there were lights, was approximately 150 meters, and where it was dark, it was 10-12 meters in front of the car, and then it was a solid wall of snow blowing into the windshield. It was just a snowstorm.
We drove into this terrible mess at 40-70 km/h, and a few times, the body would slightly skid, but not critically. I think the tires performed "excellently". I don't think a 3-year-old Goodyear with half the studs lost and a worn-out tread would have performed better than a new non-studded tire.
You need to use your head, not drive wildly and mindlessly. Maybe, of course, it's not entirely objective, since this is a frame. But I drove through this entire terrible ordeal simply on all-wheel drive, without engaging the locking differential.
And when we drove back on January 3, it was dry and the weather was already -10°C. On the snowdrifts in Kirillov, the softness of the ride, no wheelspin, no jerking, whether uphill or downhill. Where the snow had already been packed down (this is not Moscow, no one clears it there, a bulldozer passes, collects the snowdrifts, and the rest is packed down).
So, on the "winter road", the feeling is like driving on rails. It's so smooth, quiet, and comfortable. The highway - dry, frozen asphalt - is excellent. It's a pity it was very warm. Last year, it was -39.4°C in Vologda, and -44°C in Kirillov. That was classic - the Russian North.
I've read reviews that these tires reveal their full charm at -20°C and below. We'll wait for the frost. For now, I'm very pleased. I definitely recommend these tires. You need to be careful in the range of -2°C to +2°C. It will pull, but that's on any tire and any car. In such a mess, the contact patch with the road is not complete, and the laws of physics haven't been cancelled.

I was choosing between Michelin and Continental. I hesitated for a long time, since before that I drove on Michelin X-Ice Xi3. What can I say, having driven only 200 km? In general, the impressions are pleasant, the tires are quiet. In terms of handling, they are no worse than Michelin. But as for passability, it seemed to me that Continental is slightly inferior to Michelin. When braking, ABS is more often engaged on Continental than on Michelin. But this is my subjective opinion, since Michelin is on a Toyota Prius, and Continental is on a Honda Stepwgn. The result is that Continental VikingContact 7 is a good, reliable tire that makes you feel quite confident on a winter road. If you also consider that at Mosavtoshina they were offered to me cheaper than Michelin by 12,000 rubles, then the choice becomes obvious.

For studless tires, behavior on ice and snow is acceptable, but without fanaticism. Recommended.

Very good tires. The only question is about wear, I buy a new set for my company car every season, the mileage for the winter is 20-25 thousand km. They allow you to change the entire set, in reality, the front wears out, you can use 2 sets for three seasons. But I have, firstly, a load (up to 500-700 kg of cargo), and secondly, I drive extremely))) Comparing to Hakka, Bridgestone. Conti is better, in my opinion.

Haven't driven much to objectively assess their full range, but on snow and asphalt, the tires hold very well, braking and turns are problem-free, on ice, braking is average, there have been tires that were noticeably better, I checked them at -40, the rubber doesn't get stiff, the grip doesn't change, it's the same as at -10, the tires arrived after several years of storage in a warehouse, manufactured by a plant in Russia, I was worried about the geometry, but it was unnecessary, they were balanced easily and perfectly

I purchased these in autumn 2021 for my spouse. I live in the Ural region, in the suburbs of Ufa. The weather in our area has been quite changeable in recent winters: sometimes there's a lot of snow, sometimes you can drive on bare asphalt for weeks, and the temperature can range from -30 to +3. The roads are not always cleaned of snow and slush. My spouse initially wanted non-studded tires. I chose the Continental ContiVikingContact 7. My spouse drove her electric Fiat 500 over 7,000 km throughout the winter and was completely delighted. The handling, quietness, passability, and wear resistance are all solid 5s.

The tires were purchased for a trip from Severodvinsk to Temryuk and back in December. They covered 5,500 km in various weather and road conditions. I can confidently say that they are not suitable for the north, and studs are definitely needed, no matter what marketing tales are told - there are no miracles. Ice, ice under snow, and snowy slush - very weak. Clean asphalt in frost, dry and wet asphalt - not bad. Economical, low noise, comfort - excellent. Of course, for such a trip, when it's rainy in Temryuk, snowy slush in Rostov, clean asphalt in Voronezh at -15, wet snow with sand north of Moscow, and a snowfall with an uncleared road north of Vologda, it's impossible to choose a universal tire. But after returning to Severodvinsk, I put on my old studded Nordman+.

This is the third winter tire I have compared to:
1. Bridgestone DM-V2
2. NOKIAN HAKKAPELIITTA R2
Clearly better in terms of snow handling, packed snow, and ice, there is ice, but it's predictable.
As for durability, I'm making no conclusions yet.
I'm satisfied with the tires, let's see how they will perform further.

Tire size: 235/55 R18. I am currently running my first season with these tires. Previously I had Nokian Hakkapeliitta R SUV and Nokian Nordman R2 SUV. Continental is undoubtedly quieter and more comfortable (especially compared to Nordman). Handling on a snowy road is better. Braking is good, except for cases with freshly fallen snow on an icy road. But, probably only studded tires can help in such cases.
