Tyre reviews Continental ContiVikingContact 3 40
- Rate
I am driving the fourth season on Continental Viking Control 3. I must say right off the bat, they are top-notch tires! They handle perfectly on any surface. Exactly what you need for a real Russian winter! And black ice, and slush, and deep snow. I am fully satisfied with all of the tire's parameters.

SUPER!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I bought it for my PASSAT (195/65/15) and I absolutely don't regret it! For the entire last winter, it didn't slip even once. I don't even mention its off-road capability. I COULDN'T GET THE CAR STUCK ANYWHERE! It scrapes its belly, but still moves! I pulled out a loaded Gazel from a parking lot
Pros: Excellent winter tires

The tires came with the car that has a mileage of 112,000 (since 2008). Having driven the car from March 2013 to the end of August 2013 (mileage of 9,000 km in Kurgan Oblast) showed that the tires were super. The high ratings they received in tests were no coincidence. I did not test them on ice at a speed above 30 km/h - too old for extreme driving and the vehicle's behavior was unknown

There is experience of winter driving on: all-season, studded Matador and on ContiVC3. All-season is of course extreme. When comparing studs and snow chains: the braking distance on studded tires is shorter and on a turn at a skid, they lead to a higher speed. From VC3, there is minimum noise.

TIRE EXPLOSION
I bought a used tire (205/65/15/91Q). Original - German.
Kiev - Ternopol - TIRE EXPLOSION;
Kiev - Ivano-Frankovsk - TIRE EXPLOSION;
P.S. TIRE EXPLOSION (winter 2011-2012) - not a single spin (all are standing on the highway) /black ice/:

SUPER
In addition to being MUCH quieter than the stock tires on Lachetti (Hankook 195/55), it's softer (installed 195/60 profile). Today, it pleasantly surprised me with its handling on a frozen road, snow, and "snowy mush" that we have on our road. I was driving at around 80 km/h, and when overtaking, I was forced to reach up to 90 km/h. Honestly, I'll say - SUPER

Good tires at a decent price
Before these tires, I tried the new Nokian WRG2 - gave it to taxi drivers, did not meet all expectations. And with VC3, I'm very pleased, the only thing I don't like is driving on dry asphalt, it doesn't brake quickly. But what can you do, the tire is really winter, snow and ice - just flawless, I didn't even think it was possible to have so much fun in winter.

Great!
Excellent tires for confident driving in the city and on the highway. And on ice, it specially understeered in turns with the handbrake, corrects itself super. In a slow left turn of 90 degrees, once caught an icy rut, and only managed to steer out of it with the gas pedal on these tires.

Very quiet and reliable in any weather conditions!
The tires performed very well on all types of winter roads. They work well on ice, perfectly clearing slush and throwing out all unnecessary things from under the wheel. At the same time, on dry asphalt at temperatures above +10 degrees, the tires hold the road perfectly!

The best winter non-studded tire
Many winter tires have been rolled over from Belshina and Matador with Medved ... this is the limit of perfection for a non-studded tire, while I haven't driven much, but there is an opportunity to compare with the 2nd - before that, I drove 40,000 on Continental Viking Contact 2, from which I also had only positive impressions - better passability and traction on ice, amazing handling and at the same time
