Шины на Mitsubishi Lancer (Митсубисхи)

Mitsubishi Lancer — a compact passenger car that first appeared in 1973 and has been sold exclusively in China and Taiwan since 2017. There are 10 generations of this model.

First Generation

The car made its debut in the winter of 1973. Its appearance was due to a large gap in the model range of the Japanese manufacturer between the kei car Minica and the mid-size Galant. The novelty was available in four body types at the start of sales — 2- and 4-door sedans, coupes, and wagons. In 1975, the lineup was expanded with the addition of the Celeste hatchback.

Second Generation

In 1979, the second-generation model was introduced in Japan. The design of the new car was reminiscent of the exterior of the Galant and Sapporo, which debuted slightly earlier, and had a more "European" appearance than the previous generation car. Another difference was the significantly increased size. At the same time, the choice of body type was limited to a 4-door sedan. For the first few years of sales, the car was only available with two engines. These were inline fours with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters, equipped with an electronic control system instead of a carburetor, as well as a modified valve design, which created additional swirls in the fuel-air mixture, ensuring faster and more efficient combustion. Another difference of the engines was the use of two balancing crankshafts, which minimized vibrations and noise, providing a smoother engine operation. In 1980, a 1.8-liter engine was installed on the Lancer, which was later supplemented with a turbocharger with intermediate cooling, allowing its power to be increased to 160 horsepower.

From Third to Seventh Generation

Between 1982 and 2003, this model was represented by the Mirage, a compact sedan or hatchback, which replaced five generations, and only special modifications used the Lancer name. The final return as a separate model took place in 2000, when the Japanese manufacturer introduced this car as a successor to the Mirage, which remained in the lineup for several more years.

Eighth Generation

In 2000, the eighth iteration of the car debuted. The model was available in sedan and wagon bodies. Compared to the cars of the previous five generations, it became significantly larger. The engine range was represented exclusively by gasoline engines with a volume of 1.3 to 2.4 liters. Almost all power units were "borrowed" from predecessors, including the 1.8-liter engine with a turbocharger. The car was equipped with several transmissions. In addition to the previously offered "mechanics" and 4-speed "automatic", a variator was added.

Ninth Generation

In 2005, Mitsubishi introduced a concept for a future sedan and hatchback, which featured an aggressive styling of the front part, which later became the corporate style of the models presented later. The official debut of the "ninth" Lancer took place in 2007. The car was offered in sedan and hatchback bodies. The engine range consisted of inline fours with a volume of 1.3 to 2.4 liters. "Charged" versions were equipped with turbocharged engines with a volume of 1.8 and 2 liters. As with the predecessor, three transmissions were offered — a 5-speed manual, a 4-speed automatic INVECS-II, and a variator INVECS-III with virtual gear shifters under the steering wheel. After a series of restylings, in August 2017, Mitsubishi announced the discontinuation of Lancer production without a successor, and all attention will be focused on the production of crossovers and SUVs. Nevertheless, a large number of these cars remain on the road, occasionally requiring tire replacement. They can be found in the catalog of the "Mosavtoshina" online store.
