Шины на Mitsubishi Mirage (Митсубисхи)

The Mitsubishi Mirage was produced from 1978 to 2003, and then there was a significant break in the model's existence, which lasted until 2012. Initially, it belonged to the so-called "subcompacts," and then, becoming a copy of the Colt, it "moved" to the higher segment B.

First Generation

The car, presented in 1978, was created taking into account the changed economic situation following the 1973 oil crisis. It was a compact hatchback with independent suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, and front disc brakes. The engine range consisted of Orion family gasoline engines with a volume of 1.2 and 1.4 liters, with a power of 72 and 82 horsepower, respectively. The latter had a system that allowed disabling a pair of cylinders during steady driving or idling. Another unique feature for the class was the Super Shift transmission. It was a 4-speed manual transmission with a reduced gear range, which increased the number of gears to 8.

Second Generation

The launch of the second-generation car into mass production took place in 1983. Initially, the lineup consisted of 3- and 5-door hatchbacks and a sedan, but three years later, a wagon was added to it, with a four-wheel-drive system and a 1.8-liter engine. The engine range included six gasoline and diesel engines with volumes from 1.3 to 1.8 liters, including the newest at that time turbo diesel with a volume of 1.6 liters, developing 125 horsepower, with computer control and electronic fuel injection.

Third Generation

In 1987, the third-generation car was released, which differed from its predecessor with much more aerodynamic shapes. Initially, a 3-door hatchback was available, which was distinguished by an almost vertical rear door and a huge glass area. The front part was largely borrowed from the Galant sedan. The engine range was mainly composed of power units from the previous model.

Fourth Generation

In the fall of 1991, the fourth-generation model debuted. The main external difference from the predecessor was the body design, which took on a rounded shape, relevant at that time. As before, the lineup consisted of a hatchback and sedan, as well as a previously unoffered coupe. Technically, the car was associated with the Lancer, using not only the platform but also the entire vast range of components, which led to the presence in the production range of numerous modifications.

Fifth Generation

The car of the fifth generation, presented in the fall of 1995, was created on the wave of Japan's economic recovery after the crisis, which was reflected in a number of model features. Initially, the lineup included only a sedan and a 3-door hatchback, and then a coupe. Moreover, if the sedan slightly increased in size, the coupe became, on the contrary, slightly smaller. Technically, the car was close to the Lancer, which had a body executed in the same style and a slightly different salon.

Sixth Generation

After the model was replaced by the Colt, its return to the brand's lineup took place in 2012. Moreover, again through renaming, but already in the reverse direction. The car was developed in Thailand with regard to local requirements, differing in low cost and high fuel efficiency. The combination of such characteristics was achieved by minimizing the car's mass, using more than non-trivial engineering solutions. As a result, this model turned out to be the lightest in its class, being at the same time the owner of the lowest drag coefficient Cd, which, depending on the version, ranged from 0.27 to 0.31. Most versions of this car were equipped with 14-inch wheels and tires, which can be found in the online store "Mosavtoshina".
