Шины на Mitsubishi Outlander (Митсубисхи)

Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact crossover. It has been produced since 2001. Initially, the model was called Airtrek, which, according to the manufacturer, meant the ability of the car to transport passengers on full-fledged travel adventures, "freely, like a bird." The term Outlander began to be used from the second generation of the car.

Beginning

The first generation model was introduced in 2001. The crossover "grew" out of the ASX concept, differing in a larger ground clearance, four-wheel drive, and the comfort of a passenger car. The engine range was represented by two inline "fours" with a volume of 2 and 2.4 liters, working in pair with a 5-speed manual transmission, or an optional "automatic" INVECS-II. In 2002, a 4-cylinder engine with a turbocharger from Lancer Evolution with a power of 240 hp was added.

In 2005, the company released the second generation model, finally abandoning the use of the Airtrek name even in the domestic market. In addition to the design, the key difference was the appearance of a new 4-cylinder MIVEC engine with a volume of 2.4 liters, a continuously variable INVECS-III transmission, and an all-wheel drive system with electronic control. At the same time, the car was developed on the GS platform, which differed in an increased wheelbase. In 2006, a version with a 3-liter V6 appeared, specifically for the North American market, and for Europe in 2007, modifications with diesel engines were offered - a 2-liter Pumpe-Düse from Volkswagen and a DW12 with a volume of 2.2 liters from the PSA consortium. Another innovation was the body, made using the RISE technology, which made it possible to significantly improve passive safety. Another feature of the car is the design of the rear door, which consists of two parts, the lower of which can withstand a load of up to 180 kg when opened.

Development

The debut of the third generation model took place in 2012. The car became lighter by about 90 kg due to the use of high-strength steel. The updated design allowed reducing the drag coefficient to the level of passenger cars - 0.33. The key drawback of the predecessor, the quality of the interior, was eliminated. The dashboard and front doors received a soft-touch coating, and the seats received a more ergonomic shape. In addition, a large number of electronic "assistants" were included in the list of equipment - a system for preventing frontal collisions, monitoring traffic in the lane, and adaptive cruise control.

The fourth generation model appeared in 2021. The car is based on the concepts of Mitsubishi crossovers presented from 2016 to 2019. It is developed on the Nissan CMF-CD platform, using a number of components from cars of this manufacturer. In particular, this is a 2.5-liter PR25DD engine with a power of 181 hp, installed on the Nissan Roque. This Outlander "shares" some interior elements with this model, an infotainment system with a 9-inch display, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a projection display. Currently, cars of the first two generations are still present on domestic roads. This is largely due to the possibility of buying tires and wheels for these models in the "Mosavtoshina" online store.
