    Шины на Mitsubishi Diamante (Митсубисхи)

    Mitsubishi Diamante belongs to the class of full-size sedans and was produced from 1990 to 2005. The model was conceived as a car that could combine "Japanese" comfort and more bold engineering solutions of the brand — from advanced engines to complex electronics, which were then mainly installed on flagships. For the Diamante brand, it became a field for experimentation with V-shaped engines, electronic suspension, and improved sound insulation, but at the same time remained a fairly practical car that felt equally confident in Japan, the USA, and Australia.

    First Generation

    The Diamante, which appeared in 1990, became a kind of continuation of the concepts tested on the Galant, but in a more advanced form. The platform was significantly modernized due to a large number of minor changes — from thickened sills to advanced damping inserts in the engine shield. Due to this, the sedan became quieter and "tighter" on the go than many of its classmates of those years.

    The exterior had strict straight lines and characteristic Mitsubishi optics of the early 90s with wide turn signal sections. The salon offered soft plastic, thick fabric or natural leather, massive seats, and an advanced climate system for its time with the ability to regulate the temperature for the driver and passenger separately.
    The main technical feature of the version for the domestic market was the 6G72 series engine with the MIVEC phase change system on some modifications. The block is aluminum, the head with optimized intake channels, the combustion chamber was refined for smooth traction at low speeds. In the USA, "atmospheric" versions of the same engine were used, but with different settings to increase resource. The suspension is independent with double levers in front and "multi-link" in the back, and it gave the Diamante behavior that is usually found in cars of a higher class, differing in balanced handling and smoothness of the ride even on poor roads.

    Second Generation

    In 1995, the Diamante was seriously updated: the body became more rounded, and the aerodynamics improved due to the modified hood and narrow front optics. On the Australian market, this model was produced longer than on others, and there it was adapted to the specifics of local roads: the shock absorbers are stiffer, the rear springs are strengthened, and the clearance is slightly higher.
    The salon changed its architecture: the instrument panel became symmetrical, a deeper central console appeared, and new seats with built-in lateral support were installed. The trim varied — from dense velor to soft leather. On premium versions, "wood" with matte lacquer and an audio system with a separate amplifier were installed.
    Engines — upgraded 6G7 series. On Japanese versions, there were units with the GDI system (direct fuel injection), which improved economy and provided more power. On the American market, GDI was not used due to the extreme demands of such engines to fuel quality and maintenance level, so they used power units with classical multipoint injection.
    Transmissions — "mechanics" and "automatic" INVECS-II, which could "learn" the driving style. This system remembered the acceleration manner and adjusted the switching algorithms. The suspension is independent, where the most equipped versions had adaptive shock absorbers. They also differed in the presence of 2-zone climate control, electric heating and drive of the front seats, adjustment of the steering wheel height and offset, improved sound insulation. In addition, on versions for the USA, side airbags and a stabilization system were actively installed.

    Wheel disks — from 16 to 17 inches, and in separate premium modifications, lightweight alloy variants with an enhanced hub zone were used, designed for a mileage of over 200 thousand kilometers. Before proceeding to the selection of tires, it is worth noting that the Diamante is sensitive to the correct size and sidewall hardness: the car is quite heavy, and the suspension is focused on comfort. The assortment of the "Mosavtoshina" online store allows you to choose tires that will maintain a balance between softness and stability, especially on versions with adaptive shock absorbers.

    Advantages of selecting tires for Mitsubishi Diamante on our website:

    - the system takes into account the mass of the sedan and the nature of its suspension, offering tires with the correct load index and optimal sidewall stiffness;
    - options are available for standard 15-17-inch disks, including premium lightweight models that improve stability at high speeds;
    - intelligent selection automatically excludes sizes that disrupt the operation of the adaptive suspension and introduce negative changes in handling;
    - specialists will help you choose tires for a specific market and model specification.
