Tires on Chevrolet (Шевроле)

The formation of Chevrolet is associated with the name of William C. Durant, an American businessman who initially had a rather negative opinion of cars. However, this changed after he rode in a Buick, which he enjoyed so much that he decided to buy the company and develop it. At the same time, the entrepreneur founded General Motors, a corporation that became one of the leaders in the automotive industry. But two years later, when Buick's situation worsened, the board asked William to leave his leadership position. The businessman did not falter and proposed to the famous racing driver Louis Joseph Chevrolet to create a joint venture, which later became known as Chevrolet. With a wealth of experience from Buick and the expertise of Louis, a new car was designed and presented in 1911. This was the Chevrolet Classic-Six, a five-seat car with a six-cylinder engine, equipped with a folding top, electric lighting, and a windshield. However, the high cost of over $2,000 did not contribute to its popularity, nor did the next model, the Little Four. This situation did not suit Durant, and he took a course to reduce the cost of cars. In turn, this factor hurt Louis, who left the company two years later, selling all his shares.

The Beginning of Success

After the collaboration with Chevrolet ended, the company introduced two budget models, the Baby Grand and the Royal Mail. Later, based on these models, the Chevrolet-490 was designed, which became a real bestseller. Notably, the numbers in the name represented nothing other than its cost. Thanks to this, Durant was able to push Ford and its popular Model T. On the wave of success and the growth of his capital, the businessman bought a controlling stake in GM and again became the head of the corporation. However, having lost interest in cars and engaged in stock trading, he lost his position for the second time. Starting from 1927, Chevrolet became the leader in sales in the USA and maintained its position for 55 years.

A New Era

In the early 1950s, a revolution began in car design. Consumers started to like larger forms, voluminous engines, and extravagant interiors. Therefore, in 1953, the company introduced the Chevrolet Corvette, a sports coupe that could accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. In subsequent years, the manufacturer's model range grew at a giant pace. It is worth noting that Chevrolet tried to use not only original designs but also advanced technologies that significantly improved the operational properties of the cars.

In 1966, the famous Chevrolet Camaro model appeared on the scene, which to this day remains a relevant representative of the company.

2000s

At the beginning of the new millennium, the company, like many other manufacturers, faced a financial crisis. As a result, the course was taken to create low-budget cars. To this end, Daewoo Motors was acquired. This allowed partially restoring the lost positions and continuing development.

Today, the American manufacturer is trying to revive its former legends by releasing updated versions of its luxurious cars from the past. In any case, now there are many Chevrolets of various models on the roads of many countries. This necessitates the need for equipping them with all-season tires, which can be purchased at the "Mosavtoshina" online store.
