The car, presented in 2008, largely repeated the Chevrolet Sequel concept, shown in 2005, which was distinguished by a radiator grille in the form of a "chevron" and body proportions that tended towards minivans. The engine range was represented by a V-shaped "six" with a volume of 3.6 liters, developing 281 horsepower and 361 Nm of torque. In 2013, the car underwent a restyling. As part of the update, the radiator grille changed, losing its signature "chevron", as well as the rear door, which received narrowed lights similar in style to the Camaro. The interior featured a new touchscreen display and natural wood trim. However, in the standard configuration, the seats retained their fabric upholstery. Second and Third Generations

The second-generation car was introduced only in the winter of 2017. Externally, it differed from its predecessor in a completely redesigned body design, the style and proportions of which no longer resembled minivans but instead featured elements of the even larger Suburban. First and foremost, this includes the radiator grille, enlarged roof pillars, and wheel arches close to a square shape. Despite the virtually unchanged size, the wheelbase, which was already considerable, was increased to 3071 mm. The engine range, as before, included the 3.6-liter V6 from the previous model, but a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine was added to it. The latter was slightly less powerful than the "six", developing 258 horsepower, but surpassed it in terms of torque — 400 Nm. This power unit was the prerogative of the "sports" version RS. Both engines worked in conjunction with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The initial modifications were exclusively front-wheel drive. In more expensive versions, a multi-disc clutch appeared, connecting the rear wheels. The High Country trim was a notable exception, where a more "advanced" all-wheel-drive system from GKN was used, with two clutches, one of which controlled the connection of the rear axle, and the second — the blocking of one of the rear wheels when it slipped.

In addition to the technical changes, there were many alterations in the interior as well. Its design was brought into stylistic conformity with the current Chevrolet models, where smooth curves and a characteristic button and handle shape now prevailed. A more modern MyLink multimedia system with a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen display appeared, behind which was the brand's signature "hideaway". The interior retained the layout of its predecessor, offering three rows of seats. Their number varied depending on the trim level, which could include two "captain's" chairs in the second row, with the "gallery" being a 3-seat option without exception. Even in this case, the luggage compartment retained a substantial volume — 651 liters.

In 2023, the brand introduced the next generation of the crossover. The car retained its previous concept but radically changed its image. The redesigned design, which was overhauled once again, lost the "light" features of its predecessor, becoming more "square" and aggressively looking. The front features a two-story arrangement of lighting fixtures. Despite the change in platform, the crossover technically remained a passenger car, in which most modifications have front-wheel drive. The gasoline V6 disappeared from the engine range, replaced by the 4-cylinder turbocharged engine from the predecessor, the power of which was increased to 319 horsepower. At the same time, the previously used 9-speed "automatic" was replaced by a more modern one, but with 8 ranges. The "advanced" all-wheel-drive system with two clutches became the prerogative of the "off-road" version Z71, which is distinguished by an expanded track, increased ground clearance, and 18-inch discs and tires with a larger profile and a pattern for dirt roads. The "sports" version RS with standard clearance, a stiffer suspension, plastic trim on the thresholds and bumpers, as well as 22-inch wheels, was also retained.
