Tires on Chevrolet Cheyenne (Шевроле)

Chevrolet Cheyenne is a line of full-size pickup trucks produced at a manufacturing plant in Mexico and intended for the domestic market of that country. Structurally, the car is an exact copy of the Silverado, a model of a similar segment. It has been produced since 1998.

Initial version

The model debuted for the first time in 1998, being presented with two cab options and a cargo platform length. The 4-door modification was added two years later. The engine range consisted of V-shaped 6- and 8-cylinder engines with a volume of 4.3 to 6 liters. They worked in "pair" with 5-speed manual or 4-range automatic transmissions.

Second generation

In 2006, the manufacturer presented the next iteration of the pickup, which was created on the new GMT900 platform at that time. The design of its front part resembled the SUVs of the brand at that time, differing from the predecessor with a more aggressive slope of the windshield and smaller gaps between the body panels, which noticeably reduced fuel consumption. An important innovation was the mechanism for opening the rear doors, which allowed them to be swung open by 170 degrees. At the same time, the 4-door modification was available immediately, right from the start of sales. In technical terms, the car has been updated even more significantly. First of all, this is a completely revised engine range, which received the so-called Small-block of the fourth iteration. V-shaped "eights" with a volume of 5.3 and 6 liters turned out to be not only more powerful, but also more economical. Slightly later, a new V8 with a volume of 6.2 liters, developing 403 horsepower, was added to it, which was taken from large SUVs of the North American brand.

Third generation

In 2013, sales of the fourth iteration of the pickup began. This time, the manufacturer preferred to abandon the GMT900 platform, which was due, first of all, to the need to install new engines. The pickup received an engine range consisting of power units of the EcoTec3 family with a volume of 4.3 to 6.2 liters. In addition, it differed from the previous one with a different frame, which was made by the hydroforming method, which made it possible to reduce the weight while maintaining high strength properties. Another innovation was the use of aluminum in the suspension and a number of body parts, which further reduced the mass of a rather bulky pickup.

Fourth generation

In late 2017, the brand introduced the next generation of the pickup. It again changed the platform, as well as partially the initial concept. The car offered a level of trim and equipment that was not previously available, characteristic not of a utility truck, but of an SUV of the representative class. At the same time, the engine range retained the "core" of large V8 engines with a volume of 5.3 and 6.2 liters. However, a new 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with a volume of 2.7 liters, as well as a pair of Duramax diesel engines with a volume of 3 liters, were added to them. In the first years of serial production, the pickup was offered with 6- and 8-speed automatic transmissions of its own design, and from 2020, modifications with a 10-range "automatic" from Allison appeared. Currently, the most common in our country are cars of the first generations. Tires and wheels for them can be purchased at the "Mosavtoshina" online store.
