Conti Ice Contact 3, made in Germany, size 205.55.16, traveled 15,500 km over the season. Ran in the first 500 km at no more than 60 km/h, then normal operation. Over the season, one stud came out on one wheel. Not noisy, soft. On dry and wet asphalt, they hold and brake perfectly. On ice, they behave perfectly and predictably, in snow they grip better than the 2nd generation.

I would separate reviews of large sizes with rubber studs and reviews of small sizes with metal studs. I've been driving on metal studs for the third season, and comparing these tires to all the winter tires I've had before, I come to the conclusion that they are simply excellent. Especially this winter, when there's a lot of snow, ice, drifts, and ruts in Khabarovsk. The tires are very cool. Confident acceleration, course holding, and braking. As for the loss of metal studs, the process started in the second season, with no losses on the rear non-driven wheels, about 5% loss on the left front wheel, and around 15% on the right. But the second season was almost snowless with patches of ice that turned into asphalt. I believe the losses are related to multiple wheel spins on such sections. This year, nothing has fallen out yet =).
