Tires on Opel Tigra (Опел)

The Opel Tigra name has been used by the German manufacturer in relation to two different cars, both based on the compact Corsa model. From 1994 to 2000, a 2-door coupe was produced, and from 2004 to 2009, a 2-door convertible with a hard roof was produced.

Model A

The car was first presented as a concept with the same name in 1993. It entered serial production a year later. The model was developed on the basis of the Corsa 2nd generation, representing a 2-door coupe and having no common body panels. The interior was also different, except for the dashboard, which was borrowed from the "original" without changes. Another significant difference was the substantially smaller space, especially in the rear seat, due to which the car was only formally considered 4-seater. The engine range consisted of two petrol engines of the Ecotec family with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters. The latter, with a power of 106 hp, was taken from the "charged" GSi version. Depending on the configuration, both engines were combined with a 5-speed manual or 4-range automatic transmission.

Like the engines, the suspension was taken from the Corsa of the second generation, but its settings were changed by Lotus. This was due not only to the desire to give the car a sporty handling but also to the need to neutralize the increased weight. Despite its more compact size, the car turned out to be 150 kg heavier than the Corsa. For this reason, even with the most powerful engine, the coupe accelerated to "hundred" in 10.5 seconds, which is slower than the GSi version with the same engine by almost a second. This was partly offset by the changed gear ratios in the transmission and better aerodynamics, as a result of which the car's top speed was 203 km/h. Its serial production was stopped in 2000.

Model B

The car of the next generation was presented only in 2004. This time, the Corsa 3rd generation was used as the platform. Another significant change was a radical change in concept. The car represented a 2-door convertible with a hard folding roof, designed to compete with the Peugeot 206 CC, the leader of this segment. The engine range, like the previous model, was also borrowed from the Corsa. The base was a 1.4-liter inline "four" petrol engine. The most dynamic versions were distinguished by a 1.8-liter engine with a power of 125 hp, which was installed in all compact passenger models of the German brand for decades. Later, versions with a 1.3-liter Multijet diesel engine developed by Fiat appeared. The car was produced until 2009, after which it was discontinued due to low sales. Over five years, about 100,000 copies were sold, almost three times less than the cars of model A. Nevertheless, some number of coupes and convertibles found their way to our country, and the online store "Mosavtoshina" is happy to offer their owners a wide selection of tires and wheels for this model.

Tires and wheels for Opel Astra GTC
Opel Astra GTC is one of the versions of the same-name compact model of the German brand, belonging to the C segment. The car was produced from 2004 to 2018. The name is an abbreviation composed of the first letters of the phrase Gran Tourismo Compact, which fairly accurately describes the concept of this model.

Main features
The principal difference from other Astra versions was the body. The car represented a 3-door hatchback. In the first generation, in addition to this, it was offered with a panoramic glass roof, which was not available for the standard version of the model. Many more differences appeared in the next generation, presented in the summer of 2011. First of all, this is the design, which was deliberately sporty. No less innovations were found in the mechanical components. In particular, the front suspension was borrowed from the Insignia OPC, and a Watts linkage mechanism appeared in the rear, which resulted in excellent directional stability in turns. The installation of these components became possible due to the modification of the platform, which made the track wider. The next significant difference was the engine range, which made this model the second most powerful after the "charged" OPC version. The most dynamic modifications were equipped with an inline turbocharged "four" with a volume of 1.6 liters, which developed 200 hp. It was the car of the second generation that became the most popular in our country, differing not only in its bright appearance but also in its excellent handling. Specifically for such models, the online store "Mosavtoshina" offers a wide range of tires and wheels with corresponding characteristics.
