Шины на Opel Omega (Опел)
The "Opel Omega" is a representative class car that was produced from 1986 to 2004. It was available in two body variants - sedan and wagon. Versions of this car were available worldwide under other brands. In particular, in North America, it was sold as the Cadillac Catera, and in South America - as the Chevrolet Omega. Special modifications of this model were also produced in Australia, as the Holden Commodore, differing from the original version, in addition to design, with higher dynamic characteristics. The production of this model was discontinued in 2004, it was replaced by the Opel Signum.Generation A
The first generation model was introduced in the fall of 1986. The car was positioned as the successor to the Opel Rekord, which was produced from 1978. Its design was made in the style of the predecessor, but at the same time was much more efficient in terms of aerodynamics. The absence of angular body panels made it possible to reduce the drag coefficient to 0.28 for the sedan and 0.32 for the wagon version. Another important difference was the presence in the configuration of a large number of electronic systems - engine management, ABS. In addition, a screen of the on-board computer appeared on the instrument panel, displaying the average speed of movement, fuel consumption data. Another innovation was the connector that allowed the service center to perform remote diagnostics of the car's systems. It is worth noting the presence of a number of options that were not previously available in the mass segment - a cooled glove compartment, a heated rear sofa with separate adjustment of individual zones.Generation B
In 1994, the second-generation car was introduced. The model was developed from scratch, representing a combination of modern design at that time and an excellent rear-wheel drive chassis. It turned out to be so successful that it was "cloned" by other brands within the GM, and existed on assembly lines until 2006, i.e. after the appearance of the third-generation Omega. Among other important advantages of this car, it is worth noting the range of engines. In addition to the engines "borrowed" from generation A, it included a diesel M51 from BMW. After the restyling in 1999, a 2.2-liter inline 4-cylinder engine appeared in the list of available power units. In 2000, the engine range was supplemented with new gasoline V6 engines with a volume of 2.6 and 3 liters, as well as an improved version of the BMW diesel engine, which began to be equipped with a CommonRail fuel system. Nevertheless, over the next three years, car sales steadily declined, although not as rapidly as those of the main competitors, primarily Ford. The last copy was released on June 25, 2003. This was a silver sedan with a 6-cylinder engine with a volume of 3.2 liters. The position of the flagship of the model range of the brand was transferred to the Opel Signum, which used an extended platform of the Vectra Caravan wagon. Nevertheless, a significant number of these cars are still present on our roads. Rubber products for them are in steady demand in the "Mosavtoshina" store.Advantages of selecting tires for Opel Omega on our website
