The «Opel Adam» is a compact city car that was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2012. Its full-scale production started a year later, in 2013. The model was able to exist on the conveyor until 2019, after which it was removed in favor of more promising crossovers. Initially, the car was planned to be named Allegra or Junior, but later the choice was made in favor of «Adam» (in honor of the founder of the German company). Technical specifications

The basis for the model was a shortened platform from the «Opel Corsa D» — GM Gamma II. The car received a three-door configuration and a four-seat salon. Despite its compactness, it was quite comfortable for fairly tall people to be accommodated in it (it's all about the correct ergonomics). The model was equipped with a classic «MacPherson» system at the front, and a twisting beam was installed at the rear. Such a suspension provided the hatchback with good maneuverability and smoothness of the ride.

An important distinctive feature of the small car was its rich equipment. Among such, one can note the heated steering wheel, a multimedia complex with a 7-inch screen, to which mobile devices could be connected, working on both iOS and «Android». At the initial stage, two petrol engines were installed under the hood: 1.2 liters with 70 hp and 1.4 liters, producing 87 hp, as well as its boosted version with 100 hp. Starting from 2014, a modification with a 1-liter engine appeared, which was supplemented with a turbocharger. Its power parameters were 115 hp at 5-6 thousand revolutions. This was one of the most economical engines, which consumed only 3.5 liters of fuel per 100 km. The model was standardly equipped with R16 wheels.
