Tires on Opel Zafira (Опел)

Opel Zafira is a compact minivan that was produced from 1999 to 2019. The name is borrowed from the Arabic language, which can be translated as success.

Generation A

The concept of the first generation model was presented in 1997. The development of the minivan was carried out jointly with Porsche, and its debut as a serial car took place in 1999. It was designed on the T platform, like the Astra G, borrowing a number of components from this model. At the same time, the minivan offered much more space inside, accommodating up to 7 passengers. As an option, the Flex 7 system was offered, with the folding seats of the third row allowing to increase the volume of the luggage compartment without laborious dismantling. In the first two years of production, the car was offered with gasoline and diesel engines of the X series. However, in 2000, they were replaced by more advanced Z engines with adjustable intake manifolds, which, in particular, allowed them to meet the newly introduced Euro-3 environmental standard. In 2002, the engine range was supplemented with a 2.2-liter diesel engine with a power of 125 hp. The production of the first generation model continued after the appearance of the second generation car, until 2012.

Generation B

The debut of the second generation minivan took place in the winter of 2005. As with the previous model, the car "shared" the platform with the Astra H, or rather, with the version in the "station wagon" body with an extended wheelbase. The design of the model was made in the corporate style of that time, in which the features characteristic of all the cars of the brand were clearly visible. In technical terms, the minivan differed from its predecessor, first of all, by the engine range. Its "diesel" part was represented by 4-cylinder engines from Fiat with a volume of 1.7 and 1.9 liters. Another important update was the engine for the "charged" version OPC - an in-line turbocharged "four", with a volume of 2 liters and a power of 240 hp, as well as a 2.2-liter gasoline engine with a power of 150 hp.

Generation C

The third generation model was presented in 2011. It was designed on the same platform as the Astra J, but at the same time, the production of the minivan of the previous iteration was not stopped, since these cars differed significantly from each other. The "Zafira C" was significantly larger, and therefore its main competitor was the Ford C-Max. Another difference from the predecessor was the expanded list of versions. In the debut year, a dual-fuel modification was presented, working on both gasoline and liquefied natural gas. The tank for it was significantly larger, allowing to travel up to 530 kilometers, in contrast to the gasoline tank, which held up to 14 liters. Its task was to provide an additional power reserve in case the gas station for liquefied gas was inaccessible for some reason. Tires, not only for this version, can be found in the "Mosavtoshina" store
