Шины на Opel Signum (Опел)

The Opel Signum belongs to the mid-size cars of segment D. It was produced from 2003 to 2008. It represents a large 5-door hatchback created on the basis of the Vectra Caravan model and was offered at a price corresponding to its size. Similarly, General Motors, which owned Opel at that time, implemented this concept in North America, offering the "platform-related" Chevrolet Malibu Maxx. On the European market, the model was not very successful, and in 2008 it was discontinued along with the Vectra and replaced by the Insignia.

Design Features

The car was built on the Epsilon platform from General Motors, like all Opel passenger car models of that time. However, a variant of this platform with a 13 cm longer wheelbase was used. The same platform was used in the Vectra Caravan estate car of that time. All the extra space went to the passengers in the second row, who got a lot of legroom. Another feature was the absence of a rear bench, instead of which two separate seats with adjustments forward/backward and tilt were installed in the cabin, separated by a wide armrest that could become a very narrow seat in extreme cases. The seats folded individually, allowing for flexible variation of the trunk volume.

Exteriorly, the car's design largely repeated the styling of the Vectra of the current generation at that time. The entire front end was completely identical, using the same parts. The rear design was fundamentally different, starting from the rear door and wing. In the cabin, the instrument panel and front seats were borrowed in the same way, after which everything became very different from the Vectra.

Engine Range

The car was offered with the same range of engines as the "platform-related" Vectra. The exception was the absence of the "base" 1.4 and 1.6-liter gasoline engines for it. The engine range started with the 1.8-liter inline-four XE series, developed for commercial vehicles and used on the heavier Zafira minivans. In turn, the most equipped versions of the trim offered gasoline engines from the "charged" OPC versions - V6 with turbocharging with a volume of 2.8 liters and a power of up to 250 hp. In addition to them, the "gasoline" part included a "naturally aspirated" inline-six with a volume of 3.2 liters from GM, which was also installed in the Cadillac CTS. The range of diesel engines was not as numerous, starting with a 1.9-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a power of up to 150 hp from Fiat. In turn, the "top" versions of the trim could have a V6 with a volume of 3 liters and a power of 184 hp from Isuzu, an engine initially developed for commercial vehicles of medium capacity. Even in standard versions, the car had quite good dynamics and a large weight, which implies the use of tires and wheels with increased requirements. Such models are widely represented in the online store "Mosavtoshina".
