The car, presented in 2019, radically differed from its predecessor with a completely redesigned design, executed in a retro style, following the example of the N-Box model, which debuted two years earlier and became very popular on the Japanese market. Another feature was the increased body height by 20 mm, the updated structure of which allowed the floor of the cabin to be placed slightly lower. The cabin retained a 4-seat layout, but it was distinguished by a steering wheel with height and reach adjustment, as well as a two-level luggage compartment, which was implemented using a removable rigid shelf. When installed, access to the lower tier was carried out through the rear door. The next important update was the appearance in the standard equipment of the Honda Sensing complex of electronic driver assistance systems with automatic braking function, adaptive cruise control, working including at night and able to recognize not only pedestrians but also cyclists.
