Tires on Suzuki (Сузуки)

Suzuki is a Japanese brand owned by the large corporation Suzuki Motor Corporation, which today produces not only passenger cars, but also motorcycles, boat engines, and a multitude of related components.

The Beginning of the Story

In 1909, Michio Suzuki organized a small production of weaving looms. The reason for this was the family business of growing cotton. The developed weaving equipment allowed the business to expand, offering not only raw materials but also finished materials. By attracting professional engineers, it was possible to significantly improve the quality of the produced looms, which became known all over the world, and in Japan, the production even received an award from the state for its contribution to the development of the country's economy.

On the wave of success, the head of the company decided to turn his attention to the more modern automotive sector. Thus, in 1937, a project was launched to create its own car. Moreover, the company already had experience in building boat engines. However, World War II did not allow the company to quickly implement its plans. The state forced the manufacturer to engage in "more important" matters at the time - the production of heaters, inventory for agriculture, and a number of other things. After the end of the war, the company returned to the textile sphere, especially after the popularity of textile products increased. But, after five years, the cotton market collapsed, and the company returned to designing vehicles. As a result, a motorized bicycle was released, which became very popular in the country. The government even provided subsidies for further development of this production area.

In 1954, the "firstborn" appeared - Suzulight - a compact car capable of reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h.

New Stage

From 1962, the company began developing the Fronte series - small-sized cars belonging to the kei-car class. As a result, the Fronte 360 was released, which gained wide popularity due to a well-organized advertising campaign. Notably, the planned production was 3,000 units per month, but in fact, three times more were produced. This direction quickly gained momentum, offering car enthusiasts new SS and SSS modifications. In 1969, the company released the export model Fronte 500, which began to be supplied to many countries around the world.

1970 was marked by the release of the legendary Jimny car, which was sold in huge quantities not only within the country but also on the global market.

Partnership

In 1981, an agreement was signed with General Motors and Isuzu, which provided for the joint development of compact cars. And five years later, a similar agreement was signed with Mazda. On its basis, a joint venture was formed with an annual production of around 10 million cars.

In the 1990s, active cooperation with GM continued, resulting in the release of a whole range of new models. And in 2003, the manufacturer began working with Fiat. During this period, priority was given to compact SUVs.

In Russia, the brand has been officially represented since 1999. Along with the dealer network, which presents all the main models of the company, the manufacturer wanted to open a joint plant in 2007. But the subsequent crisis did not allow this to happen. Nevertheless, a large number of cars of this brand are still on Russian roads. To equip them with high-quality tires and disks, we offer using the services of the "Mosavtoshina" store.
