Suzuki Jimny Sierra is currently a compact SUV designed for the domestic Japanese market. The name was first used for one of the versions of the second-generation model, produced at the Japanese brand's Indonesian plant from 1983 to 1985. It was distinguished by a soft top made of canvas. Second Iteration

In the summer of 2018, the Japanese brand presented the next generation of the compact SUV. Stylistically, it was more reminiscent of the older models of the first generations with the LJ and SJ indices, rather than its predecessor. The technical connection with them, despite the decades that had passed, was preserved in the form of the use of a ladder frame, which this time was integrated into the vehicle's body. Its presence is due to the use of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, which is not distinguished by high traction in the low-speed range. The use of a more powerful engine would lead to the appearance of complexities in managing the SUV with a very small wheelbase, which is a "trademark" feature of this model throughout its production. This also determines the choice of gearbox. In the standard configuration, the SUV is equipped with a 5-speed "mechanics", and in more expensive versions - a 4-range hydro-mechanical "automatic".
