This was achieved by locating the engine and fuel tank within the wheelbase. Another feature was the chassis, which was a combination of double wishbones at the front and a "multi-link" at the rear. The weight of the coupe was significantly reduced due to the use of aluminum and plastic body elements. It is worth noting the presence of rear-hinged rear doors and the absence of central pillars. In this capacity, the front edge of the rear door was used, which opened only when the front doors were opened. Updated version

In the fall of 2008, the Japanese brand presented an updated version of the coupe. While largely retaining the exterior appearance, the body stiffness was further increased by adding a trapezoidal spacer between the shock absorber struts at the front. The front suspension was updated with revised geometry. In combination with a lower gear ratio of the main pair in the manual transmission, this made the car noticeably faster. It is worth noting the use of the second-generation Renesis rotary engine, which received improvements to the oil system and catalytic converter, making the power unit more reliable. Standard for this car were lightweight alloy wheels with 5 spokes, the design of which resembled a rotary engine in various variations depending on the mounting diameter, which ranged from 16 to 18 inches.
