Tires on Mazda 3 (Мазда)

Mazda 3 debuted in the production lineup of the Japanese brand in 2003. The car replaced the compact C-segment model Familia/323/Protege on the assembly line, as well as the concept that could be characterized as a combination of stylish exterior, functionality in everyday use, and manageability.

First Generation

The car, presented in 2003, was created on the C1 platform developed by Ford, sharing it not only with the world's bestseller Focus but also with the much less popular Volvo S40. The new model stood out from these models primarily due to its pronounced sporty design. The sedan, which was offered as a "coupe with four doors," was particularly notable in this regard. The chassis was selected accordingly. At the front, classic "MacPherson" struts were used, and at the rear, a multi-link E-Link suspension created by Ford, but with more sporty settings. The engine range consisted of in-line gasoline and diesel "fours" with a volume of 1.4 to 2.3 liters, with a power output of 84 to 260 horsepower.

Second Generation

In the fall of 2008, the debut of the second-generation car took place. Technically, it was a deeply modernized version of its predecessor, using the same C1 platform from Ford. Although it was modified to slightly increase the model's dimensions while reducing its weight. The engine range was also almost entirely taken from its predecessor, with the exception of the 2.3-liter gasoline engine, which was replaced by a 2.5-liter power unit with 167 horsepower. There were many more changes in the equipment, which became much broader than that of its predecessor. To a large extent, this was due to changes in the concept, within which the car began to be positioned closer to the "premium" segment. The most expensive trim levels received leather upholstery, climate control, active bi-xenon headlights, and rain sensors for the windshield wipers.

Third Generation

The car of the third generation, which debuted in 2018, continued the model's movement towards "premium." In particular, the body design was completely revised, losing most of its edges and featuring a play of light and reflections. A minimalist approach was also demonstrated in the interior design. The front console with an integrated block for controlling the climate system and miniature ventilation deflectors was particularly notable in this regard. Another distinction was the improved ergonomics thanks to an increased range of steering wheel adjustment. Even in the standard equipment, the possibility of changing the angle of the front seat cushions appeared, and the transmission control lever was moved forward, ensuring the quickest possible transfer of the hand from the steering wheel. All this is complemented by the reduced thickness of the front struts and the inner linings on them, improving visibility, along with the windshield wiper on the left side, which closely approaches the windshield frame. Above the front console was an 8.8-inch display of the multimedia system. In more expensive trim levels, it is complemented by a 12-channel Bose audio system, along with an infrared sensor that detects driver distraction from the road and physical fatigue.

Another notable difference from its predecessor was the chassis. It lost the "multi-link" rear suspension, which was replaced by a semi-independent suspension. In turn, the engine range was notable for the appearance of a new in-line gasoline "four" with a volume of 2 liters from the Skyactiv-X family with a drive turbocharger and compression ignition system. The power unit is characterized by the same traction and power characteristics as the 2.5-liter engine of its predecessor but consumes fuel like a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Another innovation was a diesel engine with a volume of 1.8 liters, which debuted in the compact crossover CX-3. All power units are combined with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions from the previous model. Depending on the year of release and the version, the car's standard equipment included disks and tires with a mounting diameter from 15 to 19 inches. Such models can be found in the online store "Mosavtoshina," along with other wheel products.
