Lada Taiga – one of the modifications of VAZ-2121 (Niva), the production of which was established in 1993. The car did not gain widespread popularity, although it was supplied not only to the domestic market but also to Europe.

Technical Features

Under the hood, the classic engine from 2121 was initially installed, but later the manufacturer began to use a 1.7-liter engine with a power of 82 hp. It was installed on the 21213 modification. It was complemented by a contactless ignition and a carburetor system "Solex". Thanks to these additions, fuel consumption was optimized. A five-speed manual transmission and axle reducers worked in pair with it.

Externally, the car differed little from the classic "Niva". Only the extended rear door, which provided better loading into the luggage compartment, and the modified rear lights. The salon also underwent some changes, but they were more visual in nature.

The model did not become popular, so the manufacturer switched its attention to more promising modifications. The "Taiga" became part of the history of the domestic automotive industry. But even for such a car, in the online store "Mosavtoshina" you can find tires and disks with original sizes.
