Fiat Ulysse – a minivan that has been produced since 1994. The vehicle got its name in honor of Odysseus, whose name in Latin sounds like Ulysses. The model turned out to be quite successful, which is evidenced by the release of several of its generations.

Generation 1

The car first began to roll off the assembly line in 1994. The main feature of the model was its salon with three rows of seats. Moreover, between the front seats, there was a free passage, which was formed due to the transfer of the parking brake to the side of the door, and the gearshift selector to the front panel. The second row of seats consisted of separate chairs that could be quickly dismantled. The third row is represented by two separate chairs or a solid sofa, accommodating three passengers. Sliding doors were used for convenient boarding/disembarkation.

The power units were represented by gasoline engines with a volume of 1.8 and 2.0 liters. Moreover, the two-liter version could be supplemented with a turbine, which increased its power to 147 horsepower. Diesel engines - 1.9 and 2.1 liters. All of them were complemented by only a mechanical gearbox. In 2000, a modification was made, as a result of which only one gasoline engine with a volume of 2 liters and a power of 132 horsepower was left. The diesel also changed, becoming a two-liter engine with 109 horsepower. From this moment on, a 4-speed automatic transmission became optionally available.

Generation 2

Starting from 2002, the company began producing the second generation of "Ulysses". The car increased in size, which positively affected the spaciousness of the salon. Like before, it had three rows of seats, and the middle one had a wide range of settings, and the last one could be completely folded to form a large trunk.
As engines, one gasoline engine with a volume of 2 liters (136 horsepower) was used, as well as two diesel engines with a volume of 2.0 and 2.2 liters. They worked in pair with a 4-speed "automatic" or a 5-speed "mechanics". The model was produced until 2010, after which it was replaced by the Tolento variant.

Generation

Recently, the company decided to return "Ulysses" to service, and in 2021, it presented a completely new model. The latest is a passenger version of the "Scudo" van. The car is maximally unified with several models of the PSA concern and is offered in standard and extended base. At the same time, it can accommodate 7-8 passenger seats. The key difference from analogs is a fully electric power plant with 136 horsepower, which is equipped with batteries with a capacity of 50 and 75 kW. The car can travel distances of 230 and 330 km on a single charge, respectively.
