Tires on Fiat Egea (Фиат)
Fiat Egea is a line of compact models belonging to the C segment. It is produced in Turkey, initially intended for the domestic market of this country and neighboring regions. It was positioned by the manufacturer as a replacement for the compact models Bravo and Linea.
Creation History
The first mentions of the Egea project date back to 2014, when the Italian brand announced the emergence of a family of C-segment passenger cars intended for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and replacing the Bravo and Linea, which had been present in these regions for a considerable amount of time. They were produced at a joint Fiat and Tofas plant in the Turkish city of Bursa, which was chosen for the production of the new model. It was developed within the previously adopted "rational" concept, which implied the creation of extremely functional cars with low operating costs, a spacious salon and trunk, as well as a low cost. Initially, the model had the internal name Type 356, but closer to the official premiere, it was changed to Egea (only for cars intended for the Turkish market). This word was easily recognizable among the local population, as it was associated with the Aegean Sea, which washes the country's shores. In other sales markets, the car was offered as the Tipo. This was the name of a very popular passenger car of the Italian brand, produced in the 1980s.
Key Features
The car's exterior was created in Italy, at Officina 83. Initially, it was designed as a 3-volume sedan, which allowed the model with this type of body to have a more harmonious and elegant design. In the front, it is distinguished by stylistic similarity with Maserati passenger cars, and the rear is highlighted by the shape of the trunk lid, imitating the presence of a spoiler on it. In technical terms, the car is distinguished by the use of a modular Small Wide platform, its variant with an increased wheelbase. The front suspension uses a "MacPherson", and the rear - a semi-dependent beam with torsion bars, an extremely reliable solution designed for long-term use even on poor roads. The wheel disks and tires are much less resistant to them. Fortunately, it is easy to find a replacement for them in the online store "Mosavtoshina".
