Tires on Citroen (Ситроен)
The French automobile brand Citroen was founded on June 4, 1919, by Andre Citroen. As of 2021, the company belongs to the transnational corporation Stellantis, and previously was part of the PSA group, formed after Peugeot acquired 89.95% of its competitor's shares in 1976. The company is known as a source of innovative technologies, starting from 1934, when it released the world's first mass-produced passenger car with front-wheel drive, independent suspension of all four wheels, and a bearing body. Twenty years later, Citroen's engineers created a hydro-pneumatic self-leveling suspension, and in 1955, the revolutionary DS model, which, in addition to the innovative suspension, featured disc brake mechanisms.Creation History
The founder of Citroen is Andre Citroen, who during World War I was engaged in the production of weapons. After the war, he came to the conclusion that without diversifying his business, he would be left with a factory that would have nothing to produce. By that time, Andre Citroen had experience working in the automotive industry, thanks to successful cooperation with Mors, which lasted from 1908 to 1914. The decision to start producing cars was made long before the end of World War I. In 1916, Citroen attracted the engineer Louis Dufresne, who previously worked at Panhard, to create a technically complex car with an 18-horsepower engine, which could be produced at his plant after the war. Over the next few years, his views on the post-war automotive industry changed significantly, as he realized the need for a compact and technically simple passenger car that could be produced in large quantities and sold at an attractive price for the majority. In February 1917, Citroen contacted the engineer Jules Salomon, the creator of the small car Le Zebre. The technical task was quite complex. This was to be a compact passenger car with a 10-horsepower engine, with good equipment, high reliability, and minimal production costs compared to most similar cars of that time. The result was the Citroen Type A, which appeared just four months after the end of hostilities.Citroen Today
In 2020, the company's management changed, which was caused by a whole array of problems that had accumulated over the previous decade. In 2014, the company, along with the entire PSA group, was on the verge of bankruptcy and was saved by financial investments from the Chinese Dongfeng Motors. Currently, Citroen's growth in production and profit is ensured through a joint venture in China. Most of the efforts are focused on forming a line of compact crossovers and minivans. Due to the high technology of the already released and prospective models of the French brand, they require special tires with improved operational properties. It is precisely such tires that are presented in the online store "Mosavtoshina".Advantages of Selecting Tires for Citroen on Our Website
