All this (about the danger of tires) would be true if these tires were DIRECTIONAL. But since these tires are asymmetric and NON-DIRECTIONAL, there's nothing to be particularly afraid of. Non-directional tires are more versatile: while they may not drain water/dirt, etc. as well as directional ones, they have the same properties REGARDLESS OF THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION. That's why they don't have left and right sides.

Excellent tires, no problem in the city
Good tires, no complaints, city driving is great, out of town on the highway - no worse. On ice, of course, not super, but it's not required either.. there are studs for ice)
