Hello! I purchased my Audi A4 TFSI quattro 2.0 (224 hp) in December 2014, and immediately bought Nokian Hakkapelita R2 tires in size 245/40/R18 after reading numerous reviews. I want to be fair and say that on my previous car, VW Passat CC 1.8 TSI, I also had winter tires Nokian Hakkapelita R, and I liked them a lot, having driven on them

Excellent price-quality ratio! Unfortunately, even before all the crises and "events" they were in the top-2 in terms of expensiveness (for their parks we take/test the best: Good, Mich, Pirelli, Conti, Yoko, Dunlop, Bridg).
The edges are NOT polished from the factory: the sharp side lugs grip well, but do not allow racing on ice/skating/ruts. On snow, everything is fine, thanks to the Christmas tree tread pattern, they powerfully dig into the snowbank and "mash" (we have 4WD all cars). Wear is a bit higher for a premium brand and such a price: on 5-10% it is more on the edge, sidewalls are tender and the tread is slightly worn out.
Almost eliminated noise compared to previous RSi and R (increased softness), super fuel economy (they roll far without gas, NOT resisting). High-quality medium-soft material: as an indicator, they do not become hard even at -35`C)) breed and technology, however - because of which the ideal effort (informative on the wheel), during normal driving for 7-9 years, there are no cracks (just store them correctly). Well made (out of 300 tires, not a single defective one). We have medium-bad roads in our region: in general, out of 100 tires, 2-3 bulges are formed, approximately 60> km/h withstand punctures (normal for Europe and a little for Russian roads, and a yielding cord gives maximum comfort on the other hand).
**In winter, take a narrower width (when driving on ice/skating - take narrow ones) for pressure on the road and flying through the snowbank (but not narrower than the disk). Reviews - from jeeps/sedans/vans... and opinions clearly differ (weight, suspension, region, wear, skills all have their own) - read about cars similar to yours
You can take them, even used ones !!! but less than 50% wear (after that, they noticeably deteriorate)

Good tires. But when driving on ice, you have to turn in slowly. While new, they're pretty comparable with studded tires in terms of grip in almost all conditions. However, after the second season (20-25,000 km) - they start to slide a bit openly. In my opinion, it's better not to drive more than 30-40,000 km on them.

Excellent tires. The tires were of Russian production. They were purchased after studded Kumho tires, I don't remember the model. The Kumho tires were not fresh, maybe that's why the difference was very noticeable. After the first trip to Arkhyz on new tires, I felt the difference. Where I couldn't climb on studded tires, on R2 I easily drove up a fairly high snow-covered slope to the parking lot without slipping. On ice, they behave confidently, especially when the tires are new. The upper layer works better. On a wet road, they also brake and accelerate the car confidently. I had to drive for some time in the summer. The car was rarely used. So, on dry pavement and in hot weather, they perform well when accelerating and braking. Of course, they are more rolling than in winter, and even more so than summer tires, since R2 tires are soft. They are quiet and comfortable. The cord is reinforced. A couple of times I hit potholes, had to roll the discs. The tires are intact, without damage, bulges, etc. I definitely recommend them.

The tire itself is great, but in terms of price-quality, it's overpriced. What really shocked me was the service: at the time of purchase, they didn't check the date of manufacture, and a season later I saw that the tire was made in 2013 (!!), whereas I bought it in October 2019 (!!!). In response to a written complaint, Mosavtoshina didn't respond at all! It means they know that they are selling 6-

Decent tire. Suitable for Smolensk.
On water normal. Aquaplaning risk minimized.
On ice it rides well from -7 and lower. In sharp turns there are questions – but that would be for any tire with a 1st gear start.
When driving at around zero degrees, you need to be more cautious, especially if it's ice with water.

Great tires. All in all, very satisfied except for dry asphalt - quite understeers, but that's only if you drive fast, and I do exactly that. Otherwise everything is fine. Particularly pleased with wet asphalt - feels better than on dry. Tires are quiet.

It digests dirt and snow poorly, Michelin X Ice 2 digs it slightly better, it's well-balanced, very soft, needs to be changed on time +5 - otherwise you can damage it (pitiful experience - a piece of "blue" cement cut between the lames, the tyre burst and the spare one was used), otherwise I'm satisfied.
