Tyre reviews Nokian Outpost AT 186

Took in size 215/70R16 on Renault Duster (standard 215/65R16). Doesn't rub anywhere, the appearance has become more interesting, the speedometer shows accurate speed +/- 1 km according to the navigator. The tire is nice, it grips well in snow and mud, handling is normal, it has become softer, most likely due to the increased profile. At -5...-7°C temperatures, the tire remains elastic and doesn't become brittle. It has a winter marking, in our southern region it can be used in winter, but I'm not sure about lower temperatures. It's not particularly noisy for an all-terrain tire, the sound of the tires is naturally present, which was clear from the start, just by looking at the fairly aggressive tread pattern. The directional stability is normal, it holds the track well. It passes through puddles excellently, water drainage works. It was balanced normally for all-terrain tires, no more than 50-70 grams per wheel. The tire itself is even. It's too early to talk about durability, I've only driven 1000 km so far. In general, I'm satisfied for now, and time will tell.

The list of star ratings basically provides a nearly complete description of the qualities.
It's a wild mix of A/T with the qualities of road tires.
VERY soft in relation to unevenness on the coating.
A small "humming" noise only on turns at speed, quite quiet on the highway.
Good resistance to aquaplaning, within reasonable limits, of course.
The lateral pattern is closer to H/T, so it's good in turns, the central one is like the legendary A/T Mudrich, but unfolded longitudinally.
It drains water well and provides excellent grip.
Good tread density, but we'll see about wear.
The thickness of the sidewall raises suspicions, and driving on deflated tires is scary on sharp rocks. But the manufacturer assures with an inscription on the sidewall that it is protected by an aramid layer.
In this model, in my opinion, a wolf is hiding in sheep's clothing! What it turns into when the pressure is released! The lateral off-road grip is even more aggressive than the main one, and in a deflated state, it provides a contact patch twice as large, and the grip increases the off-road capabilities by more than twice.
Low weight.
There is a small excess of manageability - the steering wheel responds more sharply to commands.
Compared to other manufacturers, you need to pump a little more pressure, since it's very soft, and when the pressure increases, the roll is neutralized.- Vehicle:

Size R18 265/60 (native size 255/60). Everything without notes is not seasonal and there was no opportunity to check. Mileage 4k+ from Moscow region to Magnitka and back, a bit of mountains, dirt roads, and fords. Before them, Kumho NP91 asymmetry was installed.
So: I didn't find any winter markings on the tire, but there is M+S. On websites, probably, indices are not specifically indicated in order not to scare off buyers :) In fact, Fuel = AquaRoad = D, Noise = B. And there is a snowflake icon in a triangle on the sticker itself.
According to estimates, you can see how I evaluated the tire's performance, considering that the previous one was a pure highway speed tire. I love driving fast. The maximum speed I gave was 150 km/h - no questions. The noise is comparable to the previous one. Each tire makes noise in its own way and at its own speeds. For A/T, I think there is NO noise, and index B indicates this. Soft, comfortable. Joints, bumps, potholes like a tank and much quieter than Kumho. The tread pattern is irrelevant, unlike the previous one. A couple of times at 40 km/h, I drove into such potholes that I thought it was the end for the suspension. No, everything is in place. Tires and wheels without deformation. That is, the tire worked, taking the energy upon itself. Braking - this is the weak side, you need to brake in advance! Braking on turns at speed leads to skidding and squealing of tires. You can't drive like you did on the previous one :) Unfortunately, there was no rain, just a little bit. This little bit for these wheels was like asphalt-) I didn't notice any wear for 4k+ miles. Mountain dirt road with gravel is comfortable, except for stone ejections from the tread into the wheel arches - you need to cover them and silence them. People wrote about pebbles in the tread, yes, it gets clogged well. I think you should attach a sign "stone ejection" to the back, otherwise, it's a pity for the windshield of people, the price is not low for everything now.
In total, I am 100% satisfied with the tire, considering that I always drove on asymmetrical and highway tires. I would price it at 14-15k :)
We'll see how it behaves in autumn and winter.

Although it's summer tires, I was eager to put them on and try them out, they handle snow well, the noise level on the highway is normal for me, so far I'm very satisfied with the tires, especially since I bought them at a discount)), I'll leave a more detailed review after summer use

Tires are just bomb. Didn't even expect, soft, not noisy, very durable. On off-road, they perform great, the side protector is very handy. I haven't tried serious mud yet, but they feel great on sharp rocks and not very deep mud. I haven't driven on snow, but I think it's better to wear winter tires in winter.

The tires are soft, absorbing bumps. They glide on asphalt, especially noticeable in the summer heat. Moderately noisy. They were balanced at an average of 50 grams per wheel. On dirt and sand, the car moves like it's made for it. Haven't tried mud yet, but I think it'll handle it. I wouldn't recommend it for everyday city driving. But if you occasionally go off-road, the tires are great, they'll handle their tasks. P. S. The tires look very aggressive on the car due to the side tread.

I was very pleased with the handling, on dirt and stone roads without problems, until I damaged them. On asphalt in dry and wet conditions, they perform wonderfully, I keep the pressure at 2.3-2.5 for 215/65 16. I think they will also work well in transitional winter conditions, but I don't expect them to handle black ice, that's what studded tires are for. I didn't hear any excessive noise that's louder than the Niva's transmission.

A good tire for northern regions. The tire is soft enough. On dry and wet dirt with clay, it performs excellently. I'm satisfied with the purchase. I don't plan to use it in winter. Therefore, I won't say anything about winter operation.

Great wheels? I've driven 17 thousand km, wear is approximately 15-20% on the rear and 5% on the front. On ice and snow, it handles well, on mud of course it's not MT but it also rides worthily. You can boldly drive into light off-road.
In general, I'm satisfied!
