Tyre reviews Nokian Hakkapeliitta 2 40

I drove for 5 (!) winters. Only by the end of the fifth season did they wear out (and that's due to wheel alignment). They perfectly handled all types of winter roads. I don't want anything else. It's hard to imagine what could be better!!! It's a pity they were discontinued :(

I liked the tire. It was predictable. Wore out at 8 winters. About 40,000 km. Minimal wear but not for Russian roads. Fears impacts due to softness, punctures the side wall (two wheels were damaged). Maximum loss of studs 30%. Would have gone further, but they always get to the burnt-out areas during the service.

Excellent tires, even without studs.
21103 1.5 16V sports version. In the middle of winter, I replaced NORDMAN with NOKIAN. Heaven and earth. I drive aggressively and a lot. I pulled cars out of snowdrifts on ice. The driveway to the garage was like an icy tank range. It never let me down. The car's behavior is very predictable on any surface. I don't like driving on studded tires, so
What a thrill!!!
I've been driving for two seasons and very actively. I assure you, the tires are super. For two winters, I haven't gotten stuck once. People were even envious, standing in traffic jams on uphill climbs, when I was driving up 14% inclines on sidewalks. True, it was on a front-wheel drive car. And now I've got a BMW, I'll put on Hakapeliitta 5, I'll test them -

Since 2004, I've driven around 200,000 km on this tire. I've also had experience with other tires like Nokian Hakkapeliitta 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and Kama 501 on other cars, with around 1,000 km on each. As for the Salemun and Viatti, I'd rather not mention them with disgust)) but I've had those too.
Regarding the Hakkapeliitta 2, it's a great winter tire, and it seems there are no decent alternatives now, so I'm not complaining)), I have a set with 1,000 km on the VSMPO and zero on the SMK, with a weight of 16 kg/wheel and size 235/60/16.
I keep track of the technical aspects, such as tire wear, camber, caster, pressure, and oil, and I don't push my luck, I drive up to 180 km/h in the winter, but my conscience and respect for the law tell me NO, STOP, the tire can handle it, the car can too, so why not take what's possible without harming my fellow citizens.?! The Finns were smart back then and made a great product.
To those who haven't turned on their brains:
Clean your headlights!
If someone's studs are coming out, learn about the rules for operating studded tires, if someone's driving a front-wheel drive and sliding into a 100-degree turn, get out of the car, take a wrench, and fix your bald spot, if the tire is worn out, make the frame of your car straight, if it's making noise, go spend 30,000 and get a new exhaust system for your bucket, and so on.

Great tire. pulls like it should. +10-15 (sometimes the weather gets rough) behaves normally, a lot better than R-tyres, as it's very dry. a bit of a rattle like a tram when braking quietly - I don't consider it a drawback, given its 'toothy' nature - predictable. good handling, braking in +10-15 somehow better than on the summer target.

Great tires!!!
Extremely satisfied. I drive not aggressively, but sometimes I like to have fun with drifting. The tires are simply super. They handle any snow and snowdrifts: you just don't notice them. You understand how and where you're going, very predictable behavior. They "eat" winter roads. On ice, you feel confident. When spring came, the dry and warm asphalt - they're very noisy. At first, I thought the bearings had started to

good tires
I drive without studs because I live in Crimea. I'm satisfied with the tire's behavior on snow, and on ice, of course, it grips as strongly as it can without studs. It's noisy on dry roads. On dry roads, it's also a bit unstable in turns, but that's natural - the size is a bit narrow. Overall, 4+!

Good, but hums loudly
non-studded drives and brakes well, but at low speeds in the city - the sound is like a starting trolleybus. On the highway, the hum is not audible due to the overall noise.

It hums very noticeably at low speeds
In the summer season, I had Michelin Energy 195/65/15 - it was noisy, but when I put Hakkapel-2 also 195/65/15, I realized what real noise is (curiously, on smooth asphalt it's almost completely quiet!!!). I haven't had a chance to drive on snow and ice yet - we'll see.
Cons: very noisy if the asphalt is not smooth
