Nokian Hakka Black 2 245/40 R17 95Y XL tires were purchased for a Ford Focus 2d in 2020 and have been in operation since October 2020. According to their characteristics, they handle very confidently on both dry and wet asphalt, "like on rails", although the sidewall is quite soft. The tires are noisy, I think this is largely due to the profile width, as the rubber compound itself is soft, and after less than 5,000 km on the front tires, I lost one tread depth indicator (the "8" wore off). Now, about the quality. The manufacturing quality of the tires is high, just like other Nokian tires I've used (Hakka Blue 2 205/55 R16 94V XL), BUT! after storing the tires, covered with silicone lubricant, in bags, in a dark, warm room, and re-mounting them this spring, I discovered cracks in the grooves between the tread, all around the diameter, on both sides, of all four tires. When I contacted Mosaavtoshin about the warranty, they refused to help me, explaining that they do not offer extended warranties for Nokian tires. I then contacted Nokian, sent them photos of the defects on all four tires, and they also refused to help, explaining that the defect was due to improper storage conditions at Mosaavtoshin's warehouse. That's the unpleasant experience I got from using these tires. The tires were manufactured in 2019, purchased in September 2020, and had a mileage of 2,000 km when the defect appeared.

I got these tires with the car, and I've been driving on them for almost one and a half seasons (a total of 3 seasons with the previous owner). The tread depth is 4.5-5.3mm, initially it was 7.4mm, which means the remaining tread is approximately 58%. The car is powerful, and I drive aggressively, so I wouldn't trust reviews that say the wear is excessive, the wear is normal!

Until I was forced to switch to this tire, I would never have thought of buying summer Nokian, I've been driving on different Bridgestone Potenza for almost 11 years, but fate brought us together.

In terms of driving characteristics, the tire is excellent, it really has great grip and handling on both dry and wet asphalt. It holds perfectly in turns. Driving on the middle ring road at a speed of 80 km/h is not a problem at all.

I can compare it to Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE003, which I drove on for four years on a car of the same class, Hakka Black 2 is not worse, and possibly even better. The Hakka notices the road groove less than the Adrenalin RE003, the car stays on course confidently, and in the rain, you can drive on familiar high-quality roads at 120-140 km/h calmly (you can go even faster, but safety is more important to me).

Some people noted that the green labels on the tires fall off, mine fell off too, it seems like this is the only drawback of these tires.

Now, thinking about what to buy, I decided to take Hakka Black 2 again, while it's still available. I wanted Michelin Pilot Sport PS4 or Pirelli Cinturato P7, I read reviews of both tires, watched reviews on tyrereviews, and realized that Hakka Black 2 is not worse than the expensive Michelin. The only bad thing is that there are very few tires available.

I've been driving on these tires for 2 seasons, on the first one it drifts straight away, holds so-so. But the price is like China's in essence. Two heads below Michelin 100%

Tires are normal, after 6 years the tread remaining is 6 mm, they don't make noise. But this year, I found that the sidewalls are somehow cracked, although I've always monitored the pressure and stored them correctly in winter. I guess the time has come....

I bought the tires in parts, first 2 wheels and then 2 more (they were not in stock). Overall, everything was fine, but there was one major drawback. I conserve the tires for the winter (I wash them, rub them with silicone, and repeat the procedure throughout the winter, which in my region lasts 8 months), but even this did not help. The tires started to develop microcracks in the tread lugs, and by the end of this summer, grooves began to form on the side of the right tire, in some places very deep, up to 3-4 mm.

From year to year, I only buy this tire model. I take (replace) them in pairs on the axis as they wear out. The 19-inch radius is only made in Finland, so there have been no problems before this.

Extremely noisy. Premium tires should never be this loud.

I've already driven one 3 years ago, between them was the ContiPremium 6, which is, of course, top-notch, but now it's hard to get, so I went back to Nokian.

I'm thoroughly disappointed with this tire. Before them, I had some Goodyears that died after 7 years of use, which is a natural lifespan.

The behavior on dry roads is extremely mediocre, my old, completely worn-out Goodyears were noticeably better.

IT DOES NOT BRAKE AT ALL, my first accident in 280,000 miles happened precisely on Nokian.

On wet roads, they behave quite decently, a tire is a tire. At a speed of 150 miles per hour, they don't float, and that's a plus.

But there's a big question about durability, in 2 incomplete seasons and approximately 12,000 miles, the tire has worn out completely and can no longer be used. I understand the high wear of soft tires that grip the road well, but I don't understand why the hard tire, which doesn't pretend to be sporty, died after 2 seasons. It was my first and last encounter with Nokian.

Excellent tire for the summer option. Proven by years of operation. For known reasons, it has stepped up in price, which is disappointing... in winter I operate the winter version, I don't dare to judge how it behaves on snow and ice...
