In terms of technology, the car repeated the standard hatchback, except for the engine lineup, which consisted of one power unit - a 2-liter "atmospheric" 4-cylinder engine. Depending on the chosen trim level, it could be combined with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a chain-type Lineartronic CVT variator, and for the most equipped versions, the continuous transmission was the only option.

Second Generation

In 2016, the Japanese brand offered a car of the next generation, but this time it was available not only as a hatchback but also as a sedan. The changes affected the technical part as well. The chassis featured shock absorbers and springs with stiffer settings, and the standard equipment of all versions included an electronic "torque vectoring" system, Active Torque Vectoring. It continuously redistributes torque between the wheels by applying the brake pads to the discs, helping the car maintain its trajectory.

Third Generation

The car received another update in 2022, being created on the basis of the sixth-generation hatchback. As with its predecessor, its exterior design featured arrow-shaped edges on the doors and bumpers with a more aggressive design. In terms of technology, there were many more changes. First and foremost, this is the "sports" version of the chain-type Lineartronic variator, which received eight "pseudo-gears" with switching control between them using "paddles" under the steering wheel.
