The car was first presented as a GT concept in 2011. The design was developed by Peter Schreyer and Gregory Guillaume at the European division of the Korean brand in Germany. In turn, the technical part was handled by Albert Biermann, who previously headed the team of developers of "charged" versions of BMW cars. Testing of the model included more than 10 thousand kilometers on the "North Loop" at the German Nurburgring.

Technical features

The car is built on a modified platform from the mid-size Hyundai Genesis, which has a shorter wheelbase and more components that increase the body's rigidity on bending and torsion. The engine range consists of three petrol and one diesel engine. The "base" one is an in-line petrol "four" with a turbocharger with a volume of 2 liters, developing 194 hp. Moreover, even for this modification, the manufacturer has made the all-wheel-drive system available as an additional option. In the standard version, the car has only rear-wheel drive. A similar approach is demonstrated in relation to the most dynamic modification with a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6, with a power of 370 hp. In addition to the engine, it differs in other components in the braking system. It features discs and 4-piston calipers from Brembo.
