Kia K7 was in the production range of the South Korean brand from 2009 to 2021, being the flagship of its "passenger" line. Outside of South Korea, the car was offered as the Cadenza.

First Generation

The car, presented in 2009, debuted a new platform at the time, Type-N, which implied the use of a fairly simple chassis. In the front, there was a "MacPherson" suspension, and in the back, a "multi-link" suspension. The engine range consisted of three gasoline engines, the initial one being an in-line "four" with a volume of 2.4 liters of the Theta II family, with a power of 165 horsepower. The most expensive versions were equipped with a more suitable V6 with a volume of 3.5 liters, developing 290 horsepower. A distinctive feature of the car was its equipment, which was extremely wide for its price category. Already in the standard configuration, there was a Nappa leather upholstery, in three colors - black, beige, and white. In turn, the driver's seat had electric heating and ventilation, along with a dual sunroof.

Second Generation

The car of the next generation appeared in early 2016. Externally, it differed from its predecessor with a thoroughly redesigned design, brought in line with the current corporate style, which was previously done with the less expensive Optima and Qouris. However, the front part of the sedan had a more aggressive appearance, due to the shape of the headlights and zigzagging strips of the fog lights. Compared to its predecessor, the car's dimensions had hardly changed, but the use of a modernized platform with a greater use of high-strength steels allowed for a significant increase in interior space.

The interior, in turn, is designed in the same style as the Qouris, which is a step below, differing with a continuous visor along the entire front console, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a dashboard largely "borrowed" from German sedans. As with its predecessor, even the base versions are well-equipped - natural leather and wood trim, electric drive and ventilation of the front seats. There is a multimedia system with a rearview camera and a collision warning system. The most expensive trim levels offer a 360-degree camera system, electric power steering, a projection screen on the windshield, as well as a set of electronic assistants, including an automatic braking system.
