Good day, I decided to write a review because there are very few reviews for this particular model. For many years, I only drove on studded tires (Nokian, Continental), but when I bought a new Tucson NX4 in the fall of 2022, I started looking for tires in the 235/55/19 size. After reading and listening to bloggers who said that the quietest and most wonderful studded tire is the Michelin Ice North 4, I bought it. I bought it, drove 700-800 km, and put it up for sale on Avito. It drives well on different road surfaces, is stable, but makes an awful noise, and the noise is uneven, although I broke it in correctly, I couldn't stand it. Many studs mean a lot of noise, and it doesn't matter that they are small in diameter, and this model has the most studs.
I decided to try "friction" tires, I want comfort. In 2008-2009, I had experience with the Nokian R friction tire (1st model) on a Freelander 2. At that time, I didn't like it, it was too soft (the car's suspension was also loose), and it lacked directional stability.
Now I decided to give a chance to the new model, and after 10,000 km on the Nokian R5, I'm only thrilled. I got what I wanted - it's quiet, comfortable, drives well, and even brakes on ice.
I'm not a racer, I always drive at the speed limit + 20 km/h. In this speed mode, both in the city and outside of it, there were no issues. Excellent tires, I recommend them.

Very pleased. Previously there were studs, also Hakkapeliitta. The difference is colossal.

Simply great tires. Not noisy. Holds the road well. But of course, it doesn't brake on ice like studded tires.
