Tyre reviews Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9. Page 2 178

I drive a lot, and in winter I only use studded tires. I wouldn't recommend Nokian 9 to anyone, unless it's for extremely snowy conditions.
From the positives: The studs are excellent, the passability is excellent, I've never gotten stuck and always confidently drove out, even when the car was heavily loaded, it holds confidently on both snow and ice, the handling is clear and predictable,
Negatives: On asphalt, it slides with the studs like a cat's claws on parquet (it's tolerable in the off-season while waiting for snow). As the mileage increases, it only gets noisier, I hoped it would wear in, but no. On the second season of use, the remaining tread depth according to the indicator is 8-6, and in the cabin, there's a hum like the bearings of all 4 hubs have been damaged, on the highway it's even worse, considering that the car has good sound insulation. On clean, dry asphalt after 110 km/h, I have no confidence in it, it floats. The warranty on the Nokian website is a scam, after purchasing, I couldn't register on the website for a month, the site was freezing, I decided to call by phone, they recorded it, and as a result, when I contacted them, they simply couldn't find me.
The price is horribly unjustified, they are worth a maximum of half their price.- Vehicle:

I am completely satisfied with the purchase. Size 235/55 R17.
Tested in the city, on the highway, forest road after the grader (snow crust and ice).
I don't evaluate aquaplaning (it's winter, after all), but on wet snowy mush, I felt confident.
I don't evaluate the quality of manufacture and wear resistance due to the short period of use (4 winter months).- Vehicle:

So far, everything is fine. It grips well, bites in well, I'm happy with how it rides. There are a lot of studs, they are noisy, but it's not critical for me, no noisier than many, judging by the reviews of passengers.

Extremely dissatisfied with the quality of this tire!!! It cracked completely after two seasons, fortunately, the manufacturer replaced the whole set with a new one, acknowledging the factory defect on the old one, which had been driven for around 50,000 km over two seasons, the production was made in Finland. There's also a set on R17 made in Russia, I don't have such problems there????

First 150-200 km, I didn't notice any difference from the old Dunlop at all, even got a bit disappointed. Then it probably kicked in. Generally, whatever it's on - ice, snow, it's like driving on rails, asphalt is also holding up well, can't comment on aquaplaning as I haven't encountered any puddles. Brakes work perfectly, a bit noisy, but not critical. Very pleased with the purchase!

Tires are just super, grip loose, wet snow without problems, good traction on the ice, a bit noisy on the asphalt, but compared to Matador, heaven and earth. So, I highly recommend them...

I bought Hakka 9, fully satisfied with its snow and ice performance, drove on different tires on this car, these are on the top, a bit noisy, probably due to the number of studs, drove over 100,000 km, all studs are still in place!

A mid-range tire, extremely noisy on winter asphalt, likely intended for regions where roads are covered with compacted snow and ice.
Winter tires with good tread and siping are never quiet.
In short, a tractor.

First hundred flights normal. Immediately landed on snow and ice, good feeling. It doesn't flutter as much as the 5th or 7th. Noise is less than expected.
