Tyre reviews Yokohama Ice Guard IG65. Page 10 1258

Haven't driven in winter yet, but on wet asphalt - yes: acceleration and braking are bad. Very bad. At the same time, turns are somehow excellent. I read a lot of good reviews - that's why I bought them and now I'm looking. Something weird is going on, can't understand why. I've only driven the first five hundred - maybe they'll still break in...
Noise - is present. Not like a train, but they do make noise.
On the good side - doesn't notice the rut. Also drives well on water, didn't register any aquaplaning even when the depth gave noticeable resistance.
No changes in fuel consumption, apparently.

I've already used Yokohama summer tires, so I decided to get winter tires from the same brand. I bought them this summer in advance. I'm still getting used to them, but so far, I like the way they feel. On average, I drive around 12,000 km in the winter, with about 20% of that being on highways, in a Toyota Camry, but with studded tires, I can drive safely in the city and in Siberia. We'll see how they perform, but so far, I haven't noticed any issues with them.

The first 500 km were a bit noisy, but then they subsided significantly. I don't consider this a disadvantage, it's just a run-in period. Over the past season, I drove almost 20,000 km (the last trip of 1,800 km was cancelled, otherwise I would have reached a round figure). All the studs are in place, there is no visible wear on the tire, it's stable, and it's impossible to make it skid, or maybe I just don't have enough skills.

Tires hold well in the track, the car doesn't wobble. They perform well on snowy, icy surfaces. After the season, the tread is almost not worn out, not a single stud has come out of the rubber. It doesn't skid on turns. I drove mainly on asphalt, didn't check on off-road. On asphalt, it's a bit noisy, but no more than any other studded tire.

Excellent tires. They are noisy at 0 degrees, but as soon as it's below -10 outside, they become quieter. Over the season, I lost only 1 stud, they grip as needed, and provide good traction in any conditions. I felt like I was driving in summer during the winter, and I never had any emergency situations.

Tires are worth their money. The car mainly moves out of town. The grip is excellent. The braking distance is excellent after the all-season. There is no feeling of takeoff at speed. In general, I can advise buying these tires.

I've already driven 1500 km on these tires. I'd say I don't regret buying them at all. Except for the noise, after 130 km/h it feels like I'm flying on a Boeing. And that's considering I did the soundproofing in the car myself. But that's the only downside.
It starts and stops perfectly on ice. It drives perfectly on snowy slush. I have no questions about the wheels at all. And by the way, there are a lot of studs!

The tires were liked, not noisy, fuel consumption compared to summer ones did not increase, it rides on snowdrifts. In general, I recommend.

Compared different tires by reviews and chose the ideal golden mean for price/quality. The tire is at the level of Hakkapeliitta. I recommend.

Bought on the recommendation of a "quick" driver - not once regretted. Urban/highway mileage - 40/60, behaves predictably, good acceleration and reliable braking. Various weather conditions, our long winter, have shown the tires to be excellent companions for secure driving.
