When Yokohama released the IceGuard IG50, I didn't think it would be anything special. However, I bought it for my car a few months later and I was pleasantly surprised - for a normal price I got not just normal, but great tires. I live in the south of Russia and studs are not necessary here, although the weather throws in some surprises in winter. With them the tires handle great, both snowdrifts and large puddles after the snowmelt, especially

One season and about 15,000 km on the tire...
It has behaved extremely well throughout its lifetime... soft, almost noiseless, very much to my liking... roadholding in winter is above praise, doesn't slip on snow, but also handles a snowbank with ease from the side.
At 160 km/h it grips the road perfectly, 180-190 starts to float a bit, but this tire's speed characteristics aren't designed for such speeds

Using studded tires in my region during the winter is unreasonable, as snow is present only a few times and the majority of the driving is done on dry asphalt. For this reason, I opted for this model of non-studded tires. The tire behaves well on both asphalt and snow and slush (of course, with careful driving). After swapping from summer tires to winter tires, I didn't notice any significant difference in the car's behavior, which is nice. On another winter tire, I

I purchased this model under a promotion (warranty + tire mounting). I'm very satisfied with the tires. In our region, winter doesn't last long, with temperatures mostly close to 0, and sometimes a lot of snow falls, but not for long. That's the temperature regime I've been using them in. On snowy slush and loose snow, they handle the road confidently, and dry asphalt is no problem. On ice, braking is a bit of an issue, but they hold the trajectory in turns confidently (I did have one incident where I skidded, but the anti-lock braking system kicked in and I made it through the turn without any issues). The warranty came in handy - some vandals slashed the sidewall with a knife at the store, so I contacted Mosaavtoshina under warranty and they replaced the wheel with a new one, big thanks to them for that. I was also surprised by how quiet they are - they're quieter than my summer tires. That's about it.

I've driven on them for five winters and one summer. Last year in the summer, I didn't change them, thinking I'd drive on them until they're worn out and then buy new ones, but it looks like there's still half of the tread left, and considering my financial situation, I'll just keep driving on them. Everything's fine, the tires aren't letting me down.

Good traction, I don't know how it sticks, but on ice it provides a good grip. In turns, it doesn't skid, brakes confidently, and doesn't scare with early ABS engagement. By the way, ABS has become less intrusive with these tires. Last winter, if I pressed the brake a bit, ABS would immediately kick in, but now it doesn't, and braking is better.

Good tires, both on dry and wet asphalt, have good grip. Up to 160 km/h, you drive as if at 80, no vibrations or beats, it goes straight, like on rails, you don't have to adjust the steering wheel. The sidewall is strong, a couple of times in the city I caught potholes, I thought it was the end of the tire, but it turned out okay, no bulges, no vibration. The sidewall withstood it.

I've been driving on Yokohama tires since I was 18, which is almost 6 years now. Black ice is not uncommon where I live, but the tires have been a lifesaver. On black ice, I can drive smoothly, the car doesn't jerk out of the ruts, and when I need to exit a rut, the tires help me do so without skidding. Additionally, on clean asphalt, the tires are quiet and provide a comfortable ride, making them a great choice for everyday driving.

I bought new LIPUCHKA, made in Russia. After 2 years, the wear is minimal. Snow - 5, Ice - 4. As with any friction tire, you need to drive with your brain. Advantages - very quiet, holds the road well. At the time, the price was adequate. There were no special problems with it - it almost doesn't hold on bare ice, like any tire without spikes. On my previous car, I had Japanese Bridgestone, not the newest model, but I bought it new - so, subjectively, it seemed to me that Bridgestone held a little better, but this is subjective.
