I ordered tires, over the phone I asked five times: JAPAN? And they said, of course, Japan. I arrived to change them, I asked the girl at the reception: Japan? She said, of course. I pulled in to the tyre shop and there was Russia, but at least they were a year old.
There is no question about the rubber, it's soft, it's a pleasure to drive in the snow.

Ordered Yokohama Ice Guard IG50 175/65 R14 82Q from manager Usachev Denis. On the site it is marked as "made in Japan", but they sent to the warehouse in Podolsk "made in Russia". I already had Japanese ones, I drove 7 seasons! Russian ones may be not worse, but I have no interest in checking them... Filed a return, spent time, fuel and nerves...

I needed the tread, lots of reviews and forums said to get it. I was looking for prices, again. So I put on a Yokohama IceGuard 50. When it suddenly got cold, I noticed that the tires didn't stiffen, which means they have good temperature stability. And they haven't worn off, 2 seasons I've been driving, the pattern is not like new, but it has been preserved very well. The handling on the road is good, I hold

A great option for our winter when it's either rain, snow or slush. It cuts through drifts well. It's hard to climb up icy inclines, that's when a chain is just what you need.

It was great to see how they behaved on the snow and slush. They were quite good at digging out of snow banks. On the dry asphalt, they drove quietly and gripped the road well, braked and accelerated smoothly.

I bought Yokohama Ice Guard IG50 135/80 R12 68Q tires for the winter, and while they do experience some wheelspin when accelerating, this is a characteristic of the Yokohama brand. The braking is excellent, and very effective on both ice and snow. The car's suspension becomes softer with these tires installed, and the vibrations are significantly reduced.

Not bad tires. Pretty quiet. They live up to my requirements well. On any surface.

Got my wife and son accustomed to studding, or else they were driving on studs from December to March. Now, our whole family has studding. I have two seasons of using them, while my wife and son have one. And, of course, she prefers them over studs - they are much quieter. My wife says that on a wet road, the car behaves itself much better. It's only natural! I personally like this tire for how it handles in corners and how it

Yokohama Ice Guard IG50 is a good, even very good, winter tire in the middle price range. I would say I've found myself in quite a few tough situations involving snow or ice, but the bike always stayed on the road, it cornered well, braked well and all was well.
