Tyre reviews Hankook K117 Ventus S1 Evo2. Page 7 215

I purchased a Korean brand made in China, as in this budget, the alternative is from unknown new Chinese manufacturers.
I haven't driven much, up to 2,000 miles, half of which is city driving and the other half is highway, the grip on cold asphalt is decent, let's see what it will be like in the summer, but a treadwear of 280 units gives hope for traction.
I liked the presence of a rim protector, balanced up to 30 grams per wheel, without twisting the tire on the wheel, I think if you bother, the weight can be significantly reduced.
In other respects, time will tell, but there is a suspicion that the tires will show themselves from the best side.

Excellent tires, great balancing, not noisy, high mileage. They were on a new car at the time of purchase at the dealership. That's why I bought the same model.

I'm very pleased with the tires, it's the first time I've tried a Korean manufacturer and I don't regret it, everything is fine - handling, noise, I'm satisfied with everything and the wear is normal, it will definitely last for the second season after 20,000 km of mileage, and I used to wear out European tires in one season.

I bought tires for the BMW E53 X5. The tires are excellent for summer. They grip the road well. They are quiet. You just need to be careful when parking near sharp curbs, the sidewall is weak, although I had A/T tires before .... maybe I'm just not used to regular summer tires yet. Recommendation - worth buying, good for summer!

Size 245/45/19; Pressure 2.7-2.9; Season summer.
I've driven about 50,000-60,000 km on these tires, and the tread is almost gone (and two sets of friend's tires have been driven),
(there have been daily drives without stops of 500-1000 km, two tanks of gas and petrol make it possible).
These tires are only for asphalt! Considering the low profile and pressure on gravel (rocky) it's very (VERY) uncomfortable to drive + it gets punctured in one or two hits (if the speed is more than 40 km/h), so even on smooth gravel, you have to crawl, and everyone passes you (but at least the wheels are intact).
Water: I've never experienced aquaplaning, although I love driving through puddles like a kid, in the spring in the Urals, in many places, water from the fields covers the asphalt, sometimes these sections are up to 100-150 meters long, 5-15 mm deep, once I flew through such a section at 100-120 km/h, the car didn't skid, but the plastic on the bottom got torn to ***
If you drive on smooth asphalt, it's better than I've ever experienced, it brakes perfectly, it holds in turns at 100% despite being on a crossover.
Due to the low profile and pressure, the car is pulled into the road with ruts.
Regarding pressure, you can inflate less, it will be softer, but the likelihood of a puncture or something else increases + with low pressure, it starts to eat the sidewalls, so you need to monitor the pressure.
When the dollar was 75 rubles, these tires in the 245/45/19 version cost 13,000 rubles. Now the dollar is 79 rubles, and the tires cost 28,500 rubles, so out of principle, I won't buy them ((
I've driven on Continental, Hakkapeliitta, Goodyear, Hankook, Kama, and others.
In general, over the years of driving, even on the same car, if you use one brand of wheels but with different sizes (215/70/16, 225/60/17, 245/45/19), the behavior of the car on the road varies greatly:
R16 (pressure 2-2.2) - it doesn't matter if there's a rut or not, you can drive fast on gravel, but in turns, it skids to ***, the brakes are average;
R17 (pressure 2-2.2) - you can drive fast on gravel, the car drives straight, regardless of the rut, in turns, it's better than 16, but worse than 19, the brakes are about the same;
R19 - as described above)- Vehicle:

Overall, everything is great! But after 30,000 km, three wheels have stopped balancing (((. You balance at zero, spin it on the machine, and 10-20 rebalancing (((. Explanations are still not clear. The machine has been checked on other wheels, recalibrated.
