Excellent tire, holds great on ice, drives over a meter of drifts like a tank, quiet, but indeed lacks tread pattern when driving on asphalt (upon switching to a summer tire).

High-quality tyre

So, I've run 265/75s for a season, often racing on a track, in the blizzard. Excellent tread in the snow, can dig down to the ground, breaking ice. At 0.7, it becomes a great boat that floats on the snow. It drives everywhere. I also tested it in the conditions for which it was designed (based on the M&S marking, i.e. Mud & Snow). I drove through a mud-cake

They're some sort of rubber, but they grip quite well. Talking about handling... UAZ runs on them, hard to talk about UAZ handling :)

The feeling that after -20 degrees start to "freeze" - after -27 "frozen".

The studs wear off very quickly. In transitional seasons at temperatures between 0 and - 5 degrees Celsius, additional caution is required. They skid on the road due to ice blocking the sipes. The temperature range of normal operation is from -5 and below.
