DescriptionDescription Continental ContiWinterContact TS 830
Tires ContiWinterContact TS 830 are the novelty of 2008.
The main feature of the ContiWinterContact TS 830 tire was safety. An increased level of safety, as well as increased passability, were achieved by German engineers of the company Continental in the development of the tread pattern structure with three-dimensional lamellas. Innovative technologies were applied in optimizing the design of the sidewall, as well as a new composition of the rubber mixture.
In the winter season, the number of accidents on the roads increases 6 times compared to the summer period, so the concern on the face of drivers driving on a winter road is a common phenomenon. There are more and more cars on the road, and the road services are increasingly unable to cope with their duties. It is during this difficult time that the ContiWinterContact TS 830 tires from Continental come to the aid of drivers.
The main direction of the technical specialists working on the creation of the tire is the braking characteristics. The developer from Continental, Matthias Zeng, proposed using a directed pattern with functional separation in the new ContiWinterContact TS 830 tire. The central part of the tread provides maximum efficient grip on ice, and the shoulder zone is for braking on snow. The central part of the ContiWinterContact TS 830 tire features ground hooks and lamellas.
Compared to its predecessor, the Continental ContiWinterContact TS 830 tire has an increased contact patch to provide excellent grip with the road surface.
The unique patented three-dimensional lamellas of the Continental ContiWinterContact TS 830 novelty allow the tires to maintain elasticity when driving straight, but at the same time be strong and rigid on turns. Thus, the tires demonstrate excellent response to steering when passing turns at high speeds, which is very important when it is necessary to bypass an unexpected obstacle on the road. The directed tread pattern also works effectively: it provides quick water drainage when driving in rainy weather and quick removal of snow-water slush from the contact patch. Thanks to the directed tread pattern, the tires have a reduced noise level when driving and reduced rolling resistance.
The tire's passability was optimized by 10% compared to the previous model from Continental. And the latest developments in the rubber mixture made it possible to increase fuel economy and reduce the selection of harmful substances. The Continental ContiWinterContact TS 830 tires are best suited for vehicles equipped with ABS and ESC systems.

Fantastic tires! Bought a car with these tires, the wear was around 30% but it didn't prevent a thrilling driving experience. The first snow - pulls beautifully, brakes perfectly, easy to handle. Great on both dense and powdery snow! You can afford to be a show-off. On snowy "porridge" the car moves like a tank. I ran the tires at "0", and they held the road perfectly until the last moment. I bought the same ones! Only these

It's a dangerous tire, in the sense that where I stop, others on non Continental tires may not be able to stop in time and rear-end me! I've actually gotten used to looking in my rear view while braking at intersections and sometimes had to slam on the brakes to avoid being rear-ended. In a nutshell, it handles well, brakes even better, is quiet, but comfort is only average.

Full circle performer. I even tried it on compacted snow (25 cm) and it performs very well. Stopping on snow is very satisfactory, too. Only slight dissatisfaction with traction and braking on wet surfaces.

- The tires were already designed to work in conjunction with the electronic systems of the modern car, which do not allow the wheels to lock or skid. Indeed, on the verge of slipping, the Continental ContiWinterContact TS 830 tires work perfectly on all types of surfaces: when braking with ABS - the best results both on ice (in its class) and on asphalt! The behavior on snow was also pleasing. The car is obedient and predictable in its reactions. And besides, these are the quietest tires in our test.
