Farroad was founded in 2007, simultaneously with the launch of its own production site in China's Shandong province. It is a subsidiary of Shandong Energy, a state-owned enterprise listed in the Fortune 500. Currently, it produces over 20 million car tires. Technically, these products fully comply with EU labeling requirements, having successfully passed the relevant certification. This was made possible largely due to the use of modern equipment supplied by leading European firms - VMI, Troester, SDS Systemtechnik. At the same time, some technologies are the result of the work of its own research center. In particular, the company uses low-temperature primary mixing and applies carbon nanotubes. The range of products produced includes tires for passenger cars, small-capacity commercial vehicles, SUVs, and crossovers.
The brand's tire lineup for passenger cars includes models in the High Performance and Ultra High Performance categories. In the first case, the tires are distinguished by increased comfort - quiet and smooth ride, predictable handling, and reliable traction on dry and wet surfaces. The "sporty" part of the brand's tire lineup is distinguished by increased precision in handling, stability during maneuvering, and improved traction on wet surfaces.
The "off-road" segment of the brand's tires is represented by models mainly in the High Terrain category. Structurally, they are "passenger" tires adapted for use in all-wheel drive vehicles. They are distinguished by improved traction on wet surfaces due to the use of tread patterns with an increased number of lamellas and grooves, as well as a rubber compound based on "silica".
The brand's tires have passed EU certification, a key market. Based on this, a lineup of winter tires was compiled, which currently includes only non-studded models for passenger cars and SUVs. A distinctive feature is the use of tread patterns of several types - from classic V-shaped to modern ones with asymmetric element arrangement. But in all cases, 3D lamellas are used, which practically completely offset the absence of studs and provide the tires with good efficiency on any winter roads. Another important difference is the rubber compounds. Their composition is based on natural rubber and "silica", includes a number of components that preserve the elasticity of the tread at low temperatures, giving it resistance to wear, punctures, and tears. This significantly increases traction on slippery surfaces and increases tire mileage.
