The Volvo XC60 is a compact luxury SUV, being part of a model line consisting of sedans and station wagons. It has been produced since 2008.

First Generation

The car was first shown to the public in the form of a concept with the same index, presented in the USA in 2007. Serial production began in 2008, and in the following year, the compact crossover became the best-selling car of the Swedish brand. It was built on the P3 platform, sharing it with the Land Rover Freelander of 2007. At that time, both brands were part of Ford. In early 2013, the brand introduced a restyled version, limiting itself to minor changes, especially in the exterior. Second Generation

The release of the next-generation car took place in 2017. This was a major update and the first after the purchase of the Swedish brand by the Chinese Geely. The crossover uses the modular SPA platform, which it "shares" with the flagship S90/V90 sedans. As part of the previously held transition to smaller engines, the engine range consisted exclusively of in-line benzine and diesel "fours" with a volume of 2 liters with varying boost, which are also used in the "co-platform" S90/V90. In the spring of 2021, the car underwent a restyling, during which a "hybrid" PHEV modification appeared in the lineup, becoming one of the most dynamic and receiving the T8 index. It uses an engine from the T6 version, which works in pair with a traction electric motor with a power of 87 hp, powered by a battery pack with a capacity of 10.4 kWh. The total capacity of such a "pair" is 407 hp. The car can travel up to 29 km on electric power. As part of the next update, which took place in 2022, this figure was increased to 77 km at once. This was mainly achieved due to a battery pack with a larger capacity - 18.7 kWh. In addition to increasing autonomy, the power of the electric motor has significantly increased. Its power was brought to 142 hp, as a result of which the total power of the power plant reached 455 hp.
