The next generation of the model was presented in 2006, replacing not only the predecessor but also the coupe in the lineup. The key difference was the 3-section rigid roof, which rises and folds in less than 30 seconds. At the same time, the car must be stationary, and the space above it - not less than 206 mm. The refusal of the fabric top was due to the insufficient stiffness of the body, which was the main reason for criticism of the predecessor, which stood out for its extraneous noises and specific handling. Another difference from it was the inflatable safety curtains, which even with the folded roof provided protection for passengers in the event of a rollover.
