Tyre reviews Toyo Observe GSI5. Page 2 292

I recently purchased Toyo 205/55/16 winter tires and while it's premature to comment on their quality, I can say that at plus temperatures up to +7 degrees and at 120 km/h, my car becomes a drift machine. The snow is its element regardless of its type - wet, dry, it grips and stands still. However, on dry asphalt, it understeers slightly from 100 to 110 km/h, but drives smoothly after 115 km/h. I

I bought these tires for several cars in our fleet, and I personally drove a big, four-wheel drive Mercedes GL. From my point of view, these tires are good, and I'd give them a 4.5/5 for price-to-quality. They perform well on dry, wet or snowy winter roads, handling predictably, braking smoothly, accelerating smoothly, and holding the road. There's just one thing: one time, when exiting onto a slippery area without braking or changing speed,

Good day. The tyre is simply great for the price! I'm satisfied with the tyre! It's soft, stable, comfortable and wear-resistant. In winter, it holds steadily while turning at speed (of course, without fanaticism).

I replaced my old Toyo Observe G4 after 10 seasons with the Toyo Observe GSI5 last year. I'm extremely satisfied with the new tire. It's soft, stable, comfortable, and durable. Unlike my old 4, it doesn't make a screeching sound on wet asphalt. It handles snow similarly to my old 4, but does better on ice. I highly recommend it. (car: Lexus CT200h, 2014).

Bought in 2017 for an old Fiat, drove half the season, but fell in love with the tire. Buying Accent (with Amtel stickers) and driving a bit, I realized that I needed Toyo tires. Swapping the tires, I didn't recognize the car! The car became much more confident in turns and lane changes. Not scary at all overtaking at speeds of 100-120 km/h even on a snowy road. The snow is well held, there's

For myself, I've decided to stick with only Toyo. I'm satisfied with everything, it's not a fantasy, just a good brand with a reasonable price for a top-notch product. And don't expect the tire to save you, the most important thing is the driver's reaction, then the car's, and the rest is the tire. And here Toyo won't let you down.

Used in size 215/55 R17.
To be fair, the tire is not outstanding in terms of its grip performance. It falls behind the previously used HakkaPellita R in this regard.
Among the plus points is a relatively comfortable and quiet ride. The tread is quite soft, while the sidewall is stiff and thick (presumably taking into account the profile of the given tire size as well).
Among the obvious plus points is the quality of- Vehicle:

Good tires hold the road fairly well. However, in warm weather and in the rain, they're quite unpredictable, minus a 5-star rating.

Nothing bad so far, although I'm driving aggressively, cornering hard, and intentionally creating understeer to practice my skills and stay on my toes. There's a bit of slush and ice, but who knows, maybe the studs are doing their job. I think the studs are better than snow chains when driving without 4-wheel drive, and the tread width of the tire depends on its grip on the road, especially when cornering - the wider it floats, the sooner it'll hit

Toyo Observe GSI5 convinced the boss to put it on my work car and again only joy from Toyo. Although I was a bit skeptical about Japan and snow, they're not exactly compatible. Ice and slush, of course, a bit of a problem, but still within reason. And even when the sun comes out at + 15 you can still ride comfortably.
