Tyre reviews Gislaved Nord Frost 200. Page 16 840

A very weak tread, 10000-20000km is normal, but after 30000km it's better to replace with new tires. I drove on various 2,3,5,100 and 200 Gislaved tires and the best was Gislaved Nord Frost 2 - price and quality. But on 200 there is also economy in gas and high comfort.

Mounted in autumn 2018, previously had Nordman5. Compared to them, Gislaved seems quieter, more comfortable. Holds well on snow, worse on ice. Normal tyres, will have to check in spring on tread wear.

I was pleased with the quiet, comfortable ride, and most importantly, predictable handling. In my opinion, they are ideal for large cities with wet/dry clean pavement free of snow - this is their natural environment. On snow, and especially deep snow, I'm not confident in them. Longitudinal stability on ice is excellent, but braking on ice is mediocre. On asphalt, however, they are good. I bought them for city driving and occasional trips outside the city, and I am satisfied

Drove two seasons, 15-20 thousand km, quite decent tires, hold the road well, and also good on ice! Excellent combination of price and quality! Completely satisfied, recommended!

Great winter tire. Handles both snow and ice very well. Thought with my driving style (I like to take corners tight) that the studs would be gone after the first season. Made it through two winters with almost all studs still in place.
The car drives a full head higher on dirt than on summer tires. I change to them when the fall rains start and switch back when the roads dry out in the spring as I have to drive home on dirt roads.
As for downs

Decent tires. Lost three studs on the front during the season. None on the rear. Pretty quiet for studs.

We live in the suburbs, so I deliberately bought studded tires. The rubber itself has justified itself fully so far, all studs are in place, and it brakes well both on snow and on a small amount of ice under the snow. Strong aquaplaning has not been noticed. It holds the road well at high speed. As for the noise, nothing criminal, but as the studs are indeed louder than summer, but relatively speaking, it's quite comfortable. Also drove the season on Nord

There are tires better than these, but they are definitely worth the price for average class passenger cars.
