Before this, I had Gislaved Nord Frost 200 SUV, which fully justified itself and did not fail, but the studs wore out and I decided to take the same one, but here I saw the novelty SpikeControl SUV - it is announced as a copy of the departed brand, which in terms of price and quality was an order of magnitude higher, I decided to try it, a full assessment can be made after the end of winter, now only the first impressions:
1. The tread is the same as that of the departed brand
2. The studs are different, rectangular, which are installed on Ikon, as written, made in the Russian Federation - they look like blades, after 700 km on asphalt and the first ice, everything is in place and there are no unfolded ones
3. Noise... the first 100 km is like an airplane noise and hum, you want to get out of the car; 100-300 km became quieter but the noise is palpable, after 500 km the noise became comfortable but it is - let's see what will happen next and when the full snow falls. Nord Frost 200 SUV was initially much quieter.
4. I ran in mainly on asphalt: it holds well, there is no aquaplaning. On morning smooth ice, the car goes like poured without jerking, stable speed gain in turns holds like poured.

A complete impression will be after a complete winter, when I drive on ice and snow and slush (operation in the Murmansk region), in the spring I will try to supplement the review.
Initially, it's okay, if you believe that the noise will decrease. The departed manufacturer, from which the production of these tires was taken, was used on another car and was satisfied.
I would take it again, but I'm not ready to say, I would definitely take Nord Frost 200 SUV if there was no SpikeControl SUV

Good tires, they handle their tasks well, they hold the road perfectly, they are great on ice, not noisy, soft, and the price-quality ratio is at a high level. I don't regret the purchase, I recommend it to everyone!

Studded winter tires, an analogue of Vredestein, with the same tread pattern and studs, just a different label, hope they don't concede, bought a second set for Mazda CX-3, previously bought for Toyota RAV4, will see how they behave in winter, think I didn't make a mistake with the purchase.

There were studded ones: Gislaved NF 200, Bridgie Spike-01, this model is so far the best, it holds the road, brakes well, snowplow, studs in place, it was already -32 in Omsk, the tires do not become hard. Price-quality is 5 (I bought it for 8000), bought the same one for my son, he's running it in. At the beginning, the studs made a lot of noise on clean asphalt, after about 800 km it became much quieter, but these are still studded tires, if you want silence, either get non-studded ones or listen to music.. There is no alternative to studded tires, unless you're in Moscow or St. Petersburg, in our city they only clean the center.

Everything is fine so far. There is noise, of course, but what studded tires don't make noise?
